Whoops, meant Duffy. Rose and Duffy in the house tonight, Donnie met with Duffy before the game. Duffy reps A-Randolph and (yes) Nash.

is walsh prohibited from talking to agents ? i don't think so

No but he would be prohibited from discussing trade scenarios with Rose about Melo unless Nuggets say yes. They might have. If they didn't, it would be tough to prove but technically is out of bounds.

why would walsh need permission to talk to an agent of a player on his team (Curry) ?

WWW was born in Jersey and is based there... Rose is based there as well. It's quite obvious this is one of the major reasons they are pushing for Jersey including other factors already mentioned.

Carmelo Anthony's "ultimate dream" would be to play in New York, the Denver Nuggets forward said Friday in an interview with ESPN's Colleen Dominguez.

Anthony and his wife, LaLa Vazquez, are from the area and have strong ties to Brooklyn.

"That's like the ultimate dream at the end of the day," Anthony said. "Who wouldn't want to go back home to play?"

Anthony stopped short of saying he wanted to play for the New York Knicks or the New Jersey Nets, who will move into a new arena in Brooklyn in 2012.

"I don't know, it's tough for me to answer that question," Anthony said when asked where he wants to play next year. "It's tough for me to sit here and say, 'Oh, I want to play in New York' [or] 'Oh, I want to play in New Jersey' [or] 'Oh, I want to say here [in Denver].' "
http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/ ... id=6023180

Anthony admitted he's had a difficult time dealing with all of the trade rumors.

"It's kind of hard for me to even watch sports right now," Anthony said. "That's all they're talking about right now."

He added, " I haven't had a good night's sleep since Thanksgiving."

Anthony said he was surprised when the Nets emerged as possible trade partners with the Nuggets.

"I [had] never really thought about the New Jersey Nets," he said, before allowing that he has susbsequently considered the possibility.

"I see what the future holds, they'll move into Brooklyn. ... Me going back home to Brooklyn, opening that arena, I think about all that stuff."

But Anthony also said, "I haven't even thought about [signing an extention with the Nets]."

These reporters will NOT have me HANGING at every last word and tweet.

I have learned my lesson already with the LeFraud debacle.

It is a foregone conclusion that Carmelo wants to come to the New York Knicks. But these reporters will cast doubt on it, so it can increase the circulation of their publications, as well as the reporters diverting attention to themselves. Any tenuous link to another team is trumped up as equivalent to the Knick's chances at Carmelo, to keep people interested, otherwise ESPN's "Breaking News" won't be as interesting to draw ratings.

These reporters like Chris Broussard were exposed as frauds. He won't control me again with his "rumors", "possible sources" and "speculation".

Call me back when something OFFICIAL happens. Until then, the Knicks are the favorities, until offically proven otherwise.

He wants to play for a winner...how can you say the Nets are NOT out of it? I know he talked about Brooklyn...but his dream is playing for the Knicks as well. Like I've been saying all along: Melo is gonna end up a Knick.

Well he is definitely tauting the party line. He said a whole lot of nothing to ESPN, but I'm sure he has been much clearly with his reps.

yeah until you look at the roster post trade and and realize they're horrible and then realize the team is in NJ not Brooklyn and you have wait 1 1/2 -2 years until they're in brooklyn, then notice that you still suck and nobody cares about the team...

I think the big thing was him saying I haven't even thought about New Jersey.

Melo's just being honest, which you have to give him credit for.

He's saying that he never thought about them before, but mentions the upside: Brooklyn and pretty much just Brooklyn lol. Notice that's all he says. What he's not saying is that it's an awful team and that's the big thing on his mind right now.

It's funny he says New York yet somehow the Nets are still in this? If he wanted to play in New Jersey he would have said that. Denver needs to get with the program. He wants us!

Return to New York Knicks
