Kings @ Knicks, 1/14

Post#1 » by SacKingsPejaFan » Sat Jan 15, 2011 12:55 am

Knicks are starting unbelievably bad on offense, which explains JT's 5 boards in 5 minutes. Not sure why he was pulled just now. As usual the road commentators are talking their heads off about Cousins' "immaturity." League Pass needs to start getting me Reynolds and Napear. Apparently Stoudemire is "hobbled." Gallo is still out. We might have a chance tonight.

P.S. Garcia is playing very poorly.

Cousins has a nice start. Landry has no vision in the post he needs to learn how 2 pass.

Solid start so far. Team appears to be in a good rhythm--at least for this team for the beginning of a game. NY isn't playing their best right now though. Tyreke looks like he's at full strength though. He's missed a couple of easy shots, but not due to a lack of explosiveness.

Yeah, Reke's not playing well, but he looks the best I've seen him all year in terms of his health.

Our D really hasn't been that good outside of forced TOs. The Knicks are just missing shots right now. We won't be able to rely on that all game.

Our guys get called for a ridiculous amount of travels. I watch a lot of NBA and it seems like we're uniquely bad in that respect. I hope Westphal shows them some film and corrects this. It's really unacceptable. Everytime anybody iso's I'm afraid we're going to get called for a travel. That's how bad it's gotten.

BTW Udrih with two monster blocks. Am I seeing things? The box score has them as steals, but those were definitely blocks.

The most recent one was definitely a steal. He was breaking up an alley oop

Gotta give credit to that Dalembert/Udrih two-man game. I want to see more of that.

Knicks on a run and Dalembert posts up. Yeah. That makes sense.

It's annoying that I can't even get excited about a lead because I know the other team will come back.

This team is nothing without Cousins. I have no idea why Westphal benched him after that 2nd foul. You only increase the odds of him getting that 3rd now if he puts him back in because you've messed with his rhythm.

I'm also trying to figure out what JT did. Westphal completely cut his nuts off and he wasn't playing bad at all.

Once again, all that sloppy play by the Knicks almost hurts the Kings. Total reliance on the other team playing bad. They need to get that ball to Cousins down low, or in the mid post and have him make plays. Not just iso, but make plays for others. Get good shots, don't just keep ramming the ball into the paint because the last 3 plays the Knicks have completely just stuffed the basket area with anyone they can. C'mon Westphal, recognize it! You can do it!

That or JT was traded? I mean, Westphal looked a little angry when he took him off the floor, but I have no idea what he did wrong. Maybe he was in the wrong spots on offense?

The sub as for Dalembert though. Maybe to guard Amare.

Really poor last few minutes. Fortunately the Knicks have sucked too. I have to think both teams will come out stronger in the second half.

I think we had a 15 point lead at one point. We played very well for the majority of the half, while the Knicks played poorly and were only up 4. This leads me to believe we will lose by at least 10.

I think teams have gotten used to coasting when playing the Kings, but when they decide to take care of business we get to see how bad this team is.

...could be wrong.

I see our guys getting mugged like crazy and no fouls called, while Amare does a whole lot of nothing but always gets bailed out. I guess that's the MSG effect.
