that was the main reason i started following him last year. I was high on him when dx didnt even have his profile up. He's quick, long, has good handles and good size.

Maybe. I'm a fan. I think he's Evan Turner without the rebounding or over the top assist numbers. I also think he's going to shoot up draft boards when it gets close, a lot like Paul George did.

But really, the reason I like him so much for this team is because he can get to the line. It's the one skill he currently has that's at an elite level and it just so happens that it's the one skill this team collectively lacks.

I was just looking at Derrick Williams of Arizona numbers. His efficiency is absurd. 65 percent from the field, 70 percent from three point range, and he gets to the line 9.3 times per game. He's scoring 19 ppg on 8.4 shots.

Austin Rivers and Gilchrist are going at it on ESPN right now. A shame that we probably wont have a draft pick next year because Rivers looks really good. I really have no idea where NBAdraft.net gets their stephen curry comparison from. Maybe its only this game, but Rivers' looks super quick, has great handles, and really knows how to get to the bucket. I havent seen an elite level shot from him this game, and he really hasnt taken a whole lot of jumpers. He really takes it to the hole a lot.

Gilchrist's team is crushing them though, but thats mostly due to his teammates being a whole lot better

Josh Selby. Does he remind anybody else of Eric Gordon? He might be a reach at our pick, but could be a good gamble for us.

I dont really think so. Even though Gordon is undersized, he has a few things going for him, A freakish wing span and tremendous strength. I dont think Selby has that. Plus, he is actually shorter than Gordon.

Looks a lot more similar to Bayless to me

Where does T Jones fit though? Selby looks like he could fit a need for us to me if he is strong enough to guard most 2 guards.

I'm not real interested in Terrance Jones either. I only have seen Kentucky once and he didn't impress me a whole lot. I'd still take Harrison Barnes with our top 5 pick, am I in the minority on that one?lol

I don't think Barnes is any more a 2 guard than Wes or Webster. He's likely a better prospect long term than either of those guys, but I struggle picturing him guarding SG's any better than the guys we have. I also bet Barnes stays in school.

You want a 6'1" SG?

I've seen him listed at 6'3" (nbadraft.net) and even 6'4" (his hoops mix tape). I imagine he's larger than Ellis, but smaller than Gordon, but who knows.

FYI, DX has Ellis and Gordon both listed at 6'3.25" (w/ shoes)

KU lists Selby at 6'2"

Apparently Selby got measured at Lebron's basketball camp and Draft.net has those measurements up here: http://www.nbadraft.net/node/9269.

Selby's listed at 6'3" in shoes (just barely acceptable for a SG) and a 6'4" wingspan. That wingspan says to me that he would have an incredibly hard time contesting the taller (6'6" +) SGs in the NBA.

For comparisons sake:

Wade - 6'4.75" in shoes, 6'10.75" wingspan
Ellis- 6'3.25" , 6'2.75"
E.Gordon- 6'3.25", 6'9"
Foye - 6'3.25", 6'6.25"
McCants - 6'4", 6'10.75"
Bayless - 6'3", 6'3.5"
B.Gordon - 6'2.25", 6.8.5"

He has measurements to Ellis and Bayless. Ellis has been able to make playing SG work with his height and length so it's definitely possible, but I don't think I'd want to gamble a top 10 pick on it.

Ellis makes it work because he is absurdly quick and finishes extremely well at the rim. I dont think Selby's quickness or finishing ability is in Ellis's league.

Ellis doesn't make it work. The problem with undersized players isn't really on offence, it's on defence. Ellis can't defend bigger guards with those t-rex arms, so unless a team plans to play him at PG I don't think they draft him.

Jan Vesely told SLAM Magazine that he will enter the 2011 NBA Draft.

"I will enter the NBA Draft in 2011 and I believe that I will be picked amongst the top 5 players," said Vesely.

Vesely is a 6'11" 20-year-old playing for Partizan.

"My idol for a long time has been LeBron James," said Vesely when asked if there is a player he patterns his game after.
