And that he doesn't understand how the playoffs work. It's not like bad teams WANT bad players. They just don't make the playoffs.

The same year Unleavy and Murphy came to Indiana, Golden State made the playoffs. They couldn't have been too bad. They just had players like Murphy and Unleavy getting way too minutes. Neither should get more than 15-20 a game.

While i don't think Lance would ever have been as high as Dunleavy, but he definitely could have been around or higher then Murphy if it wasn't for all his off court issues. Lot's of IF's i know, but, teams pick on potential all the time and aim for the stars with risky players. Lance, had many red flags and dropped like a rock.

I still like the pick by the Pacers and i hope they don't give up on him any time soon, unless he has to be packaged in a bigger deal that lands us a starting quality player, but i don't see any reason to argue if he should start right now. He's raw and needs a lot of work.

I was hoping in the 3Q against Philly it'd become a blowout so Lance might get a few mins of PT.

Jim O'Brien on Lance Stephenson, prior to the Bulls game, from John Oehser -

O’Brien said guard Lance Stephenson has developed enough in the first half of the season that he would be confident if he needed to play this season. The rookie from Cincinnati has yet to play in a regular season game, but O’Brien said he expected Stephenson to be a “very, very” big part of the team’s future.

How should we take this? It's coming from O'Brien. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

From Mike Wells, Stephenson says he's ready -

Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson has sat patiently and watched as fellow rookie Paul George and second-year forward Tyler Hansbrough moved into the rotation the past few weeks.

Stephenson, who was given the nickname "Born Ready" while playing on the blacktops of New York, is ready for his chance to join his two teammates on the court.

The Pacers' second-round draft pick wants to show people he's not the same player who struggled defensively during the preseason. He also wants to show that his offensive game is better suited for the NBA.

When that time will come is anybody's guess.

Stephenson took a baby step recently when coach Jim O'Brien put him on the active roster.

I believe he's not playing because of his legal issues. It's not a good look to have a guy on the floor that's facing charges for pushing a woman down some stairs.

The Pacers don't want anymore bad PR moves.

^^^ If that's the case, why did they activate him?
