I have a hard time believing that Prokhorov would do this deal without Melo agreeing to an extension beforehand. The guy is worth 13+ billion, he didn't get to where he is by being an idiot.

I saw the video, he was smiling about Brooklyn. What he's not saying is that he is worried about the Nets being a bad team. That's his main concern.

Did they show any video of him saying 'I have not thought about signing the extension in New Jersey?'

I didn't see that in the TV interview, maybe online.

Carmelo and the rest of the NBA players will never go through "hard times", unless they spend/invest their money foolishly. But, that's an entirely different argument.

How is this in any way relevant to the Carmelo situation? I'm not here to discuss poverty and social issues. This is a Knicks forum and a Carmelo thread. Or are you saying that Carmelo would make a reckless financial decision because he can "just sell his Lambo"?

How many MAX Cats did Prokhorov sign in the off season?

Remember Rod Thorn "RETIRED" only to get on board with the Sixers when Prokhorov took over.

That's a RED FLAG when the guy whose resume includes drafting Michael Jordan and building a Nets team that made the NBA Finals.

Bob a) follows other stories and makes calculated predictions based on other reports and b) then adds spicy "scoops" that can never really be proven or disproven, like jets and such.

it's just a formality at this point. He's in Denver right now. Punk ass Bob is actually right this time. If Melo agrees, the deal is done today or tomorrow. Moment of truth. He won't do it, though. I know he won't.

No, they cut out him saying that he hasn't thought about extension with the Nets and also that most important thing was winning a title. Showed him smiling about Brooklyn but did show him saying "I never really though about the Nets."

Embarrassing to even address Bob's claims but NetJets aviation is not owned by the Nets. It's a charter jet operation owned by Warren Buffet that lets companies use private jets.

Prohkorov has his own plane. He wouldn't use this service.

is anyone attempting to read this like me. according to this the plane was in denver for 2 and a half hours yesterday then went to san fransico and idaho ?

by the way - nets jets aviation has nothing to do with the nets basketball franchise
