Ed Davis is a good defender and has the potential to be a great defender....

The Raps need defense....

You wanna get Jeff Green?......Fine....But using Ed Davis as trade bait is stupid.

Plus OKC has Ibaka who's averaging 2 bpg...

If anything they want a Center like us...

Exactly. Trading our most valuable prospect and multiple picks AND our best chip heading into the trade deadline (Barbosa) for a guy who will be a free agent in a couple months is pretty much madness.

yup, people just cant be patient. If you dont get Green, go after Young/Chandler. Both + Davis + our 1st rounder is better than having just Green.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

I think Green, Young and Chandler all said they are willing to sign in Toronto.

I'll tell you why I think he's not:

Here is why I think he has potential to be great for Toronto.

The college coach who did not recruit him but inherited him as a recruit said: "Jeff Green is the smartest player I've ever coached." Two coaches at that level both saw the same things in him. So what did he do? He won the 2005 Big East Rookie of the Year award. He became Most Outstanding Player of the 2007 Big East Tournament and 2007 Big East Player of the Year. Drafted 5th overall by Boston. Four seasons as a pro. AVG minutes 33mins/g. AVG FG% 43.9 AVG FT% 76.3 AVG 3 pt. 33.3% AVG Reb 5.5 and points 13.4. This year he is on pace for 16 points/game and 6 boards. By most accounts he is quite good defensively and he IS a known leader. So two points. His numbers would most certainly increase on the Raptors being first option. So there is no question there is still considerable upside. If we were to know Ed Davis could reach this same level after 4 years we would all agree his pick was a huge success correct? Why wait? Does Ed Davis have the potential to be the leader and franchise player? Maybe but this guy has stud potential now.

Ah, so you think Green doesn't want to be here and your solution is trading almost all of our meaningful assets to get him just as he's on the verge of free agency?

^^ they'll follow the money... and in Young's case, the increased opportunity to get playing time, since he's coming off the bench and has seen his minutes decrease this year.

I am also saying include Latavious Williams and Dequaen Cook who you have a world of flexibility with and some potential as well.

i just dont think he gets it. Honestly. Its a very short sighted move and who knows who will be available when we draft. Also we have cap space which we can use to fill needs but its like beating a dead horse, when someone has their mind made up on a player they want the Raptors to trade for it just wont end.

I want Green as much as the next person but im not giving up the future to get him. If they want our TE/Barbosa/Weems/Klezia/Expiring/Calderon/Miami pick in any combination (can include a 3 team deal to get them a C) then by all means im all for it.

Cook? Potential? Come on now. He has as much potential as Julian Wright.

Julian Wright has quiet a bit potential. He lacks shooting, but his ball handling, court vision/passing, rebounding, defending are good.

I never said Wright wasn't a good prospect and I never said Cook was the be and end all. Cook looked good for Miami at times and might replace Barbosa. Or he could walk. I'm saying Green is playing 37 minutes a game for OKC so if you have reservations go talk to them. Last I heard they were doing better than us.

There are a lot of games on TV today.

Maryland versus Villanova is on CBS at 1:00 PM. Jordan Williams is a sophmore but is a player to watch in this game.

South Carolina versus Florida is on Peachtree TV at 1:30 PM. Patric Young is probably the player to watch in this game.

Virginia versus Duke is on TSN2 AT 2:00 PM.

LSU versus Kentucky is on Peachtree TV at 4:00 PM. This is the most interesting game because Terrence Jones and Brendan Knight will be playing,

RFA, Bird Rights. We could make a great offer.

He would be what? The 2nd euro ever drafted in BC's 15+ year career?

Jordan Williams has 16 points and 9 rebs at the half.

Fab Melo had one of the best games of his career with 6 points, 4 rebs, and 4 blocks in 15 minutes.

6-4-4 in 15 mintues was by fat Melo's best game of the season. And for the first time he showed a little swagger and confidence on the court and was not so stiff. I have watched about 15 of the Syracuse games I have not seen any of that cofidence. Still not a prospect for this year.

Kris Joseph may have suffered a concussion.

Limited selection of games. Makes me happy I have the sports pak. They have so many more games -- particularly Big East
