Brewer had a great game to start with. He scored 8 in the 1st qtr. They ran plays that were suited to him. He had 2 alley-oops, driving layups, dunks, outside jumpers, free throws. He was 8-9 at one point. He missed his last 6 shots of the game, mainly because no-one else stepped up and wanted to take charge offensively. His out-of-bounds turnover didnt cost the game, Wolves were already down 5 with just 12 secs left. He harrassed Hedo all nite - Hedo only made his first FG with 5 mins left in the 3rd quarter. Brewer had 5 steals and played with high energy. He was the difference at the beginning when the Wolves were up 23-14 when he got subbed for Ellington.

The 2 times he sat on the bench (end of 1st and beginning of the 4th), the Wolves were outscored 22-17. Wes had 3 TOs to start the 3rd which killed us, the Magic went on a 15-5 run.

Ellington played well but again turned it over and that shooting foul on JJ Redick when he hit a 3 was a big blow (6 point swing).

But Wes and Martell were a combined 37 mins, 2-8 FGs, 5 TOs and 6 pts. They sucked.

I hope Brewer continues this recent form and his shot is looking better and he felt like it was his best all season. This time last year, he hit his strides to, so lets hope its a turn for the good.

If Wolves have Hedo they would have won this game, that is how Hedo is terible.

That says more about the Wolves wings than it does about Hedo.
Hedo had some ridiculous turnovers and really didn't do much on court. Our wing players except for Corey Brewer managed to be even more terrible, though.
We are not gonna win ballgames if our wings continue with that horrible play.

Good news is I thought Pek had a really good game until the refs screwed him with some bad calls. Same goes for Darko. They both need to learn how to stay out of foul trouble. But that will come with time. I expect (or at least hope) that refs show some more respect next season when they've established themselves as nba caliber players.

Hedo may play (not so)bad tonight, but he is u clutch player, he know how to run the game, tonight with him Orl have +30.

Darko and Pek get some comic fouls. DH is to much protected player as any star, but tonight the refs are been too friendly to DH.
Pek and Darko are very strong and they can play with DH, things are gona be better.

yeh, these couple games show exactly why I'm not on the Beasley bandwagon ... poor defender and an offensive ball-stopper. He simply believes he's the goto and that's that, and maybe he eventually will be, but he's not mature enough to really understand the rest.

I was not really expecting a win (tough without Beas), hoping of course. I am just pissed that I lost on my +8.5 bet. 9 point loss, damn JJ Reddick hitting late free throws, and wolves missing their last two shots. The last 30 seconds were terrible, in terms of holding to an 8 point loss.

On a positive note, I am glad I am not a Cavs fan. Really depressing lately.

Your defense for Brewer missed a string of forced shots is always that no one else stepped up. Do you mean no one else stepped up and forced shots the way Brewer did? You paint him to be a fearless, when he is really just chucking. Look, I said Brewer had a good game. He did. But then you take it personally when I point out some things he didn't do well. Yeah, there were 12 seconds left. His turnover didn't cost the game, but it sealed it. At that point, they could have hit a 3 and then fouled the 2nd worse FT shooting team in the league and hope. Also, his defense was good, but not perfect. He often left his man to double, causing the other defenders to try to rotate and cover, but usually resulted in one of the Magic getting a wide open 3. Also, he was guarding J Rich when he hit his string of 3s.

they never make them count. they never make them think.

Exactly. When Pek got the 5th foul I was hoping Rambis took him out just to tell him to make the 6th one count.
