I would take Kaman if they gave us our pick back.

It could have some logic.

-We get a legit back up 5. (although the cost is crazy high). Playing him as a limited minute back up would help with the injuries. Neither Darko nor Kaman should play 30 minutes consistently.

-We get our pick back. Very important for us, but honestly it makes sense for LAC. If they give us Kaman it could shift our w/L situation so the pick is 10-12 this year. It loses value if it is 10-12 in this weak draft compared to the top 5 next year.

-We have enough wings that if LAC really wants one we can give it. Brewer has been playing well but if we move him we still have Beasley, Webster, Johnson, Wayne, Lazar, and Belly. Brewer should be the type of SF that LAC is looking for. High energy defensive player to put next to Griffin and Gordon. LAC seems to have a fetish for our old players anyway. (Hi Gomes, Cookie, Foye, Bassy).

Second, not sure how Darko will take it. It seems we are dedicated to him for being our future starter & have invested a lot of time/development in him. Getting Kaman could bring Darko's confidence meter down to a whole new low & may want to leave when his contract is up.

I'd also be worried about bringing in someone who is more established and getting more money than Darko. I think Randolph is someone LESS established, making less money, and would cost fewer assets to get. No to Kaman.

If the coaching staff is upfront with both Kaman and Darko that Darko is the starter and Kaman is the bench guy then it should be ok. I would be more concerned about what it does with Pekovic and the Darko/Pekovic friendship.

My main reason for doing it is to get our pick back.

That pick is untouchable because it's guaranteed to be #1 in a loaded draft.

I think there is about zero percent chance they give us that pick back. Just because unprotected lottery picks are so rare.

This bugs me so much,

Iverson is a former MVP who carried a team to the finals one year (albeit in the weak east) and a player who got his team to the conference finals in Carter.

If they are a losing player then KG is one too while he played here.

Philly put together the perfect cast of characters for Iverson for one season in a historically bad conference. If you followed Iverson closely for his entire career he proved himself to be a loser. It was all downhill after the finals. He got players and coaches sent packing year after year. He leaves Philly and they instantly got better. He went to Denver and they got worse. Leaves Denver and they got better. Went to Detroit and they got worse. When he left Memphis they got better. AI had absolutely no idea how to put his ego aside for the betterment of a team. That is why he has had trouble getting back into the league. He could absolutely still come off any bench and provide a scoring punch similar to a Nate Robinson or something, but he refuses too.

VC started his career off well in Toronto and just quit. Became a lazy jumpshooter who didnt give a ****...a loser.
