Kaman
The Clipps are willing to trade Kaman for a small forward.
Was wondering if there is a way for us to trade Green for Kaman?
I would say add Krstic in the mix and get back either a draft pick or that Amin Al-Farouq guy, he could be a decent backup for Durant, can also shoot the 3 pretty good it seems.
What do you think?

Re: Kaman
Gordon
Green
Griffin
Deandre
That's a very good foursome that we'll help them create over in the West. Plus Green for all his fault that we highlight as a PF is clutch, so there's a possibility they'll be a very good team. Heck even Davis is getting back to decent production.
We do have a future Clippers pick, the value of the pick is eroded if we do trade green to them in my opinion.
That makes a Green for Kaman trade a very sticky choice, although Kaman is an upgrade over our current C. I think Clippers has more to gain out of the deal. I don't think Al-Farouq is considered a throw in under any deal condition though. So on the one hand, Kaman is better BUT we know we can target better fitting center in the offseason. though if we end up empty handed, green will no longer be a trading chip in any trade for Kaman.

Re: Kaman
So who would you consider a better center that we could go after?
I really don't see anyone out there.
Heck, there aren't even 5 better centers than Kaman in the league!
I think we should go after "The Big Pale".

I agree with you.

Huh? Jeff Green, Wilson Chandler, Thaddeus Young... what other young SF's will be free agents next offseason? Maybe Carmelo if he isn't extended?

Re: Kaman
It's funny for the last year and a half we have been saying that we need to trade Jeff Green for a more traditional Center. Well there he is, maybe not perfect but better than many.
Kaman is probably better than anything we have. He does provide low post scoring something this team needs.
Green and Krstic for Kaman and Aminu and I'm all in.
Go get Kaman he expires right when Dwight can opt out. Makes too much sense.

Re: Kaman
1) Kaman recently seems to be injury prone isn't it? ( I could be wrong)
2) Why on earth would they throw in Aminu? He's a recent lotto pick.
3) By giving Green to them it sort of devalue the pick that they owe us.
4) Can we have Deandre instead of Kaman/Aminu?

Re: Kaman
Kaman isn't really a bonafide low post threat. More of a mid range player. He has some moves in the post, I guess, but he wants to shoot more than anything.
I don't think he's worth it.

Re: Kaman
I would take Nene over Kaman. But let's just wait when it's FA time...
And I wouldn't give up Green for him. Why not throw in DeAndre Jordan and we give you Green+Aldrich instead..

Re: Kaman
As soon as I saw Kaman on the trade block, I knew OKC seemed like a logical trade partner.
I'd love to have Caveman. He's an upgrade over Kristic and he gives us size and rebounding. With him at center, we'd be set for the next couple years and that will give Aldrich and Mullens more time to develop. We're not re-signing Jeff or Nenad in the offseason and I rather have we get something instead of letting them walk.
A Kaman/Rasual Butler for Green/Kristic deal looks ok to me. There arent many good centers on the market anyways.

Re: Kaman
I think Kaman contract expires in 2012.
I read DJ post over at trade forum and it seems he prefer a defensive center much like myself.
Some other prefer an offensive center with back to the basket skills of course.
My only preference for a defensive center is so that Thabo could be moved to the bench and i believe that Ibaka mid range game has improved enough. Would be nice if the center can make passes under the basket. I'm not THAT convince that Mullens/Aldrich will pan out into anything more than what Krstic is now, they'll be decent as a starter on a non contender or a backup on playoff teams.
