Shaun Livingston - The Point Forward

I don't see him as a point guard, his game, as we've all realised, resembles more of a small forward than a pg. Our offense stagnates when he fills in for DJ, he only scores off isos and feeding it to him in the post, an asset i love, but it doesn't get our other players/scorers going in rhythm. He doesn't create for others and his passing ability is pretty average for a true pg or even a backup.

Should Shaun play the small forward position as the point forward, similar to a Hedo Turkoglu role?
The dilemma we face here is, Shaun's ability to score over smaller pgs would be completely lost, or, reduced to an already underwhelming advantage he has already and he's not the passer Hedo is. Even when he's playing with the starters in the 4th quarter, he really doesn't give our offense any flow or rhythm.

Or

Should he strictly, play the small forward postion?

Or

Should we include him in a trade package with Wallace for Kaman and Bledsoe.

If i were Silas, i would at least experiment with playing Shaun at sf, see how he responds and have *GULP* Collins backup DJ.

Aren't we pretty loaded at SF with Wallace, Jax, UPS, and McGuire all playing that position most naturally?

Jack plays sg, sf with the 2nd unit. McGuire plays pf or should/could play pf and he hasn't really gotten any pt under Silas anyway. UPS has disappeared off the face of the earth.

I pointed out Silas experimenting with it, it's not a long term plan or anything.

This ^^^^

I mean, it's a great idea, except opposing SF's would enjoy posting up on him as much as he currently enjoys posting up on opposing PG's because he's not only a stick figure, but he has next to no lateral movement or willingness to play defense.

Like I said months and months ago: The only reason Livingston is in the NBA is because of his height. If he was the standard PG size (6'0"-6'2") he would be lucky to have a job in the D league.
