The only way Min has a shot at Iggy is if Wes is involved.

Moving iggy for cap space does nothing for us because we still have no flexibility to make any moves with Brand. We're either making a small move to compete with Iggy, or if Iggy's moved a piece for the future is coming back.

+1. Johnson is a 23 year old rookie with no handle. He becomes completely redundant with Iggy taking all of the minutes at the 3. Minny fans keep talking about him as a #5 pick which is technically true but in a 4 player draft, he's the odd man out. Pek + Johnson for Iggy is the deal we'd want.

Wes is what the Sixers need at the 3, Iggy is what the TWolves need at the 3. Match made in heaven.

Why does one of the worst teams in the league trade their young promising huge upside center for an almost 30 injury prone center?

What are some examples of players/packages that PHI is looking for in return for Iggy?

What about Curry+Fields from the Knicks for Iggy? Seems fair to me.

we counter that with Kapono/Songalia/Lou Wiliams for Curry/Fields.

Long term starting C or rookie contract guy with good potential and a great fit with Turner / Jrue.

Someone younger than him with a good chance to be a future starter for us, or at least to play a very big role of the bench.

Examples? Just for fun I'm going to see how many players still on their rookie contract I can name that I would trade Iguodala for:
***I'm aware that most are not possible

Greg Oden(Worth the risk?)
Kevin Durant
Al Horford
Joakim Noah
Wilson Chandler
Marc Gasol
Nick Young(maybe. He can really score/shoot, though he's done it on a bad team.)
Derrick Rose
Michael Beasley
O.J. Mayo(possibly Thabeet included?
Russell Westbrook
Kevin Love
Danilo Gallinari(borderline)
Eric Gordon
Brook Lopez
Roy Hibbert
Javale McGee
Serge Ibaka
Nic Batum(borderline. We were rumored to reject it)
DeAndre Jordan
Blake Griffin
James Harden(borderline)
Tyreke Evans
Stephen Curry
DeMar DeRozan
Brandon Jennings
John Wall
Derrick Favors
Wesley Johnson
DeMarcus Cousins
Ekpe Udoh(borderline)
Greg Monroe
Al-Farouq Aminu(borderline)
Paul George(borderline)
Cole Aldrich(borderline)
Ed Davis(borderline)

Pretty much this, except the idea of a long term starting C isn't a realistic one.

Ed Davis Udoh, Wes Johnson, Fields, and George? have all been mentioned as possibilities by some other team fans. I'm not sure he could get Wes alone, but Ed Davis et all seem okay value wise so its just a matter of fit. As in if Aminu was a good fit and decent prospect that could be around the area. {I'm not very familiar with him, but question how redundant to Thad Young he would be.}

Personally, I hate the idea of adding Kaman to this squad (especially if we go rebuild and dump Iguodala) and don't think we could flip him for value, so that decreases the attractiveness of a package from my perspective. Others here are much more pro Kaman.

Hope that helps.

There have been other teams such as the Rockets without a real center that would trade either a young asset (Hill/Patterson/TWill/Budinger) or pick (2012 NYK first) along with expirings.

Would PHI be interested in (one of those)/Aminu/expirings for Iggy/Speights?

^ nope. Speights is finally starting to buy into Collins philosophy, he's not a throw in. I've only seen a little of Aminu play and haven't been overly impressed at all. Johnson/Batum would be two SF's I'd target before i'd even think Aminu.
