One game down. Here's number two. Andray Blatche bobblehead night was a roaring success that marked the start of a long, prosperous win streak that takes this team from the basement cellar to the sky-rise of the Eastern Conference....no....the league.

Date: Monday, January 17th, 2011
Time: 1:00pm (EST)
TV: CSN and CSN-HD
Radio: 106.7 The Fan

Tomorrow's deal is in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Starting at $59, you get 4 tickets, 4 hats AND a large Papa Johns pizza. DAME, that's a deal.

Last time we played them on MLK, Gil had 52 and the game winner. Man we were on top of the world then. Anyways, its home so we have a chance but in the past, precision teams like Utah would always carve us up. Wall is due for a big game but he's struggled against all the top PG's. For some reason his D sucks now too. Whats up with that? His D was great at the start but now he cant stay with anyone which spells doom against Williams.

Just need Dray, NY, and Lewis to have a big game again

Man, 4 years ago Gilbert hit that game winner over Deron Williams on MLK Day. Seems like yesterday.

i think wall will actually D up williams fairly well because no doubt flip's been on his arse about giving up big numbers lately. it's blatche/mcgee vs jefferson/millsap that's the real defensive worry. i'm prepared for a heapin helpin of Neck this game.

We will get demolished by Utah's pick-and-roll. I see no way we can win this one. Deron Williams will have either 30 points or 15 assists (or both).

It's going to take awhile to develop Wall's defense. I would be surprised if Wall suddenly gets it in between his last game and today's game; it's not like Wall has been a consistent defender throughout this whole season. Perhaps, Wall will see improvement in his defense in the offseason.

it's not a question of "getting it" for wall. a perimeter defender doesn't really have to put much into defending other than hustle. and using the athletic ability that the good lord gave them. the nuances of body positioning, timing, etc. are much more important to big men than guards.

as long as wall keeps his hands up, moves his feet, and uses his quickness to get around screens, there's no reason why he can't play stellar defense - AND BOTH FLIP AND HE KNOWS IT.

i think with williams being a marquee guy, some proper motivation from the coaching staff, and maybe even an early benching to really send a message about playing defense, wall can definitely ratchet up the D.

I remember what Dray did to Al last year. Wiz fans will remember next year if we trade him

I really dont mind wether we win or lose, i just want to see a better showing from Wall on defense. Its probably injury related, but everyone has been blowing by him. I just want to see him give a better effort and at least do a good job on D Will and react to and defend the pick and roll.

Also I want him to take the open shots he has been getting as the D sags off him. If he can hit a few of those it will get his confidence back up again.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

glad to learn no parking meter enforcement on the holiday

not expecting a W, could even be a blowout loss. UT is 12-6 on the road,
not that different from their home record.

you can just tell that Dray is rounding into form and shape. He's looking alot quicker and isnt hesitating as much. On top of that he is so motivated to prove how good he is

Dray hit his first few shots. Now he can just chill for the rest of game.

Hopefully he starts to pass the ball around now that they'll be keying on him.

Young should be wide open next few times Dray touches the ball I bet.
