I have to apologize to Mayo. He has been playing well in this game lately.

Mayo has gotten his shots up but he definitely hasn't been great. At least he came to play though. And if Memphis has a decent game at the free throw line this isn't quite as ugly. Although I guess it was generally a pretty ugly game so whatever.

Thabeet is giving the decent performances more often in the last month or so
Vasquez needs to never play ever again, this guy is garbage and yet people think he's good

I don't know man...Vasquez seems to suffer from rookie inconsistency. I don't think it's because of a lack of talent. He's shown some nice skills on occasion.
If you're willing to give Thabeet a little hope you should consider extending some of that good faith to Greivis. :D

That was the first Grizzlies game broadcasted to Brazil. Ouch!

Vasquez's style of play is just annoying, this guy thinks it's Maryland and he just pounds that rock for a solid 15 seconds before deciding what to do with it. Of course sometimes since his poor handles basically force him to back down the point from half court on he can also get an offensive foul.
Anyone else think Memphis should run the zone defense more when Thabeet is in the game, maybe he was just decent today but he seemed less stupid and quicker on rotations to alter shots in the zone

I can see that definitely.

Yes. Great point and hadn't really thought about it much before. Hasheem is bad defending the pick and roll. He gets tons of fouls when put in that position and ends up screening the other Grizzlies defender a lot of the time. In a zone he can play close to the basket most of the defensive possession.

^ Problem being the defensive 3 second call.

I would imagine that they considered employing zone at some point, but Thabeet just didn't have the mental wherewithal to stay out of the lane for that long. In college, he would camp there all game long.

Did we see the same game? Vasquez was great tonight in the last quarters trying to erase the deficit, the combo Vasquez-Mayo-Arthur was the only good thing of the game.
Also about what you say about Vasquez being garbage... did you see last Memphis games? cause he has been superb, the perfect backup pg.

This game should have been a win. Why? The Bulls were undermanned in the post which means our frontcourt players should've played with more energy and cohesion. The need to jack up shots didn't help matters. Rose as we all know would have his way against Conley. The key should've been more emphasis on isolating Rose from his teammates meaning let Rose take on the load and make the rest of the Bulls work for their shots. Defensive rotations simply sux hard rox. Considering this is the Bulls here. They know who the main factors are and what they are capable of. They have to do a better job towards producing better results and find a solution to eliminate this bipolar theme they have going on out of their system.
