Patriots are undefeated at home in the last two regular seasons. They are 0-2 at home in the last two post seasons.

The Jets are what the Raiders should be.

Can you guys admit he is a damn good coach now?

I think he's a jackalope.

I still think the environment Rex Ryan has created will backfire.

Rex is still an arrogant chode in my book. But I was impressed with the way they played in NE.

I still think Aaron Rodgers will lose a playoff game eventually.

signed,

Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd

It's the same type of stubborn stances that they continue to take visa vie Aaron Rodgers.

Regardless of what happens in the future, you've already been wrong if your original hypothesis was the antics of the Ryan would adversely affect his team. Just like those who said Rodgers would be one and done and was a playoff choker. Both the Packers and Jets have won 2 playoff games already, on the road. They've exceeded reasonable expectations for teams in their respective situations.

There is nothing wrong with Wade's statement vis-à-vis Ryan.

I cab't speak for Wade, for me personally though,i just wanted Rex to shut up because after awhile, his act has started to remind me of a coaching version of Ochocinco. Someone constantly wanting the attention on himself when the players on the field would win or lose the game.

That said, i think the media way to often puts to much stock in socalled bulletin board material being able to influence who will win a game. Once that ball is kicked off, a player isn't going to be running a fly pattern or trying to perform a combination block while thinking, wow a guy on the other team said such and such in the media three days ago. This is the playoffs and teams will be a few games from a potential Super Bowl berth, that's more than enough motivation for players.

If you really look at the Jets/Patriots rosters, the Jets probably have more overall talent except at QB. The Jets have more talent at RB, WR, and offensive line. They have a better secondary and probably a better LB unit. It's just at QB where the Patriots are vastly better and is why they won 14 games instead of 11 for the Jets. Put Sanchez on the Patriots and i really question if they could have even made the playoffs. Put Brady on the Jets, they win 13-14 games. Sanchez has come up with some key passes here and there in the playoffs the last two years, but for the most part, they win in spite of Sanchez.

The main reason the Jets were able to upset NE had little to do with bravado leading up to the game, it was Ryan giving up on his love for blitzing and instead playing things passive. Play lots of coverage with a very skilled secondary. Don't be rushing 6-7 guys where when it gets picked up, all those shallow crossing routes the Patriots run have no linebackers blocking passing lanes and then also short 8-12 catches turn into 25 yards gains with runs after the catch because nobody was left back in coverage. The Jets kept rushing only 3 or 4 guys and flooded the short area zones because NE had no deep threats at WR.

I find it amusing that so many people care what Rex Ryan says. It's not like he's doing anything wrong, he's just trash talking.

It's not that people "care" what he says. He's just a very annoying person. Everybody knows that one loud guy who constantly talks S**t to everyone and brags about himself on top of being loud and obnoxious. Now take that guy and make him an NFL head coach thereby boosting his ego more than was ever imaginable and you have Rex. It's not that I care what he says, I just wanna punch him in the face.

Speaking of Chad Ochocinco, he used to be funny, but now he is so **** annoying. I used to follow him on Twitter (I unfollowed him cause he was annoying) but all he talked about was finding food and other pointless crap.

There was on tweet, it was Saturday night, and all other NFL players are tweeting things like, "going to sleep, later twitter!" or "studying the playbook, big game tomorrow!" and he's tweeting abuot finding food in Pittsburgh. What a **** idiot, maybe his team wouldn't be in the **** if he did anything else but tweet.

I don't think that's a fair comparison. I like Aaron Rodgers because I think he handles himself and his business the right way to go along with his talent. I don't like Rex Ryan because, while I think he has a ton of talent as a football coach, he's playing with fire given the way he behaves.

I didn't say Ryan's antics would ALWAYS adversely affect his team. I said that they would at some point, though. I stand by that and will be willing to admit I'm wrong if/when it happens.

I DID, however, hear Colin Cowherd make a similar argument to my own about Rex Ryan near the beginning of this season, which in and of itself tells me I must be wrong. :)

PS If the Jets lose this weekend or in the Super Bowl, I do NOT plan on automatically chalking it up to Rex Ryan's behavior and/or coaching style. I can and will admit I'm wrong even if the Jets lose. Cowherd will not. That's the difference.

I don't know why you guys are shocked. Oh, a big fat guy with a loud mouth in New Jersey. He's just acting like half their population.

I don't know if Ryan's bs is effective or not. His coaching overall seems to be, but it's unclear if that's because of or in spite of the public mouthiness. I'm surprised that the commish's office allows it to continue, though.
