McRoberts isnt athletic.. Athletic does not = jumping ability. McRoberts " athletic ability " is so overstated.
Tyler also was the only one to keep Blake in check.. He had 1 charge , 1 block and 1 steal against him only giving up 4 points. Instead of him playing 30 minutes or until he fouls out he gets 16 minutes and isnt even involved in the offense.
JOB should be fired right after this game for even entertaining the idea of Granger or Posey on Griffin.
Griffin just had one of those fluke games where he made jump shots.. it happens.

I knew Posey was gonna try to gun it, but at least shoot it.

Granger scores 32 but a very unimpressive 32. Terrible defense and awful give aways. The Davis steal which he passed to Foye to make it 98-90, i couldn't believe the lack of effort by Granger.
Collison scored 30 but didn't even consider to play a bit of defense on Baron Davis as he was nailing 3's. This dude is a NBA vet, of course he's going to make wide open shots. Not sure wtf Collison was thinking of not guarding him?
And, why didn't they EVER double team Griffin?

My point was Posey or Granger should never b guarding Griffin. And sure Mcbob is athletic what makes him not athletic? Im not just saying he is athletic because he can jump high.

You're right. Putting Posey on him was a terrible choice. It failed earlier on in the game and no idea why bring it back on. They should of double teamed him or as you said give McRoberts a try, who is a very athletic guy. But, Griffin was feeling it today, no way should we have been played man on man on him. Let somebody else kill us. However, this team just fails to play defense. When Griffin wasn't killing us, Gordon or Davis were making easy wide open jump shots.
The Pacers didn't attack the rim at all and Griffin wasted zero energy playing defense. The whole game plan was flawed.

Really, how was he bad on D? Rush was bad on D, I wouldn't say Granger was.

Anybody else who was guarding him would have done the same. He's shooting 23% from 3. He only made 2. You make it seem like he hit 5 or 6.
The main problems were Hibbert being in foul trouble. Foster is not a good defender anymore. IKE DIOGU was layin it on him.
Dunleavy almost played twice as many minutes as Paul George even tho Paul George easily out produced him. Dunleavy was terrible. I don't think anybody he was guarding missed a shot. He also shot 1-10. Stop shooting the ball. You're a scrub, probly shouldn't even be in the NBA.
Posey.

Sorry, but jogging back on defense is not was i consider good. He just played careless basketball in his own end. Actually, even with the ball he played careless.

He had already made 1 in the 4th. So, just sit back and dare him to shoot and miss, when he's having the best game of his season so far? His confidence was up, he was played good defense, dishing the ball and scoring points. You never dare a guy on fire to miss. We did and we paid for it. But, i wonder if it was daring him or just being lazy? I'm guessing he was just being lazy.

Agreed. They NEED to get a solid backup for Hibbert. That, is just as much of a priority as getting a power forward here.

Posey.
Couldn't agree more. I don't understand why Dunleavy played so much? He was awful. He can't shoot and his defending was terrible.

McRoberts doesnt have good lateral quickness which is needed when guarding anyone in the post especially guys like Griffin. Not to mention Griffin would have just tossed him aside anyway or fouled him out in 5 minutes.

I have to agree that the team should've at least seen what McRoberts could do. He's probably the only guy in our frontcourt who is athletically even in the same arena as Blake Griffin. Foster is probably still our best frontcourt defender, but he doesn't have the athleticism to hang with the super athletic forwards anymore. It's a big weakness with this current Pacers' roster. However, it is Blake Griffin, and you know he's going to get his, but the Pacers could've at least exhausted all their options.

Solo and Roy are easily better defenders than Foster. He's a bigger Posey. Outside of taking charges, even then most of the charges he takes are on the ball, he can't guard anybody. And we saw what his on-ball defense was like when he was on Griffin. Tyler is better than Foster now. He's done. He lost Ike Diogu on defense at least 5 times. That can't happen.
