Does Mark Sanchez deserve to be our starting QB

Post#1 » by kevin_405 » Mon Jan 17, 2011 6:58 pm

For me watching Mark handle the team is like sitting on pins and needles, u never know when he will throw a interception, make me happy that we have running attack that gain us some easy yards..

I was wondering why until i went and checked Mark Sanchez's QB rating on NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats? ... &Submit=Go

Clearly he is in the botton 5 and his play making is not any better to actually list him any higher.. The only part where Mark gets credit is the way he handles pressure and moves around in the pocket..

The past Jet QB Chad Pennington and Vinny would have done wonders if they had this team and coaching staff.

He has a lot of upside but i am not so sure he is upto the mark to be a starter.

Does Mark Sanchez really deserve the Jets starting job?
Should we be looking for a change next year regardless of where we go in the playoffs?

Are you an idiot? Did you WATCH his playoff games? Diff between him and Vinny and Chad is he is better and he's better when it matters. Sanchez is going to be starting on this team for a looong time. You can go ahead and run to your stats but gues what stats matter most?

In 5 playoff games Sanchez is 4-1 has 922 yards 7 TDs and 3 picks so how bout you ask yourself shold you chat nonsense when you dont even see whats going on?

Brady had a lower QB rating than Sanchez last night and has also lost his last three playoff games. Maybe the Patriots should get rid of him too.

srsly i dont understand this guy....in his sophomore season he has had the most post season wins as a Jets QB of all time, not to mention he has played all of his post season games on the road, ill admit he has his flws but ppl need to quit making him a scapegoat, hes been improving whether you like it or not

anyways i liked when he got into it with Wlfork, also liked Mangold going after Wilfork

Except for the QB position this team is probably the best in the league..

All i am saying is that this team could dominate instead of struggling to get by teams, if we get a better QB..

I exaggerated a bit, it was a run play in the 4th ( i think greene) and their was a pile going on, and Sanchez went to go push Greene, play was called dead and then Wilfork pushed Sanchez to the ground, Mangold got into Wilforks face and then Sanchez went to go after Wilfork but was held back

2 seasons = 2 AFC Championship games.

Why not again?

Yea you don't realize that this isnt the NBA. You don't spend 55 mil on a kid so you can replace him because of haste. He's only 24!! Calm down we're not talking about goddamn Chad Pennington here.

I'm going to give Sanchez 1 more year. If he does not improve dramatically in his 3rd year he is what he is. The Jet's need a new Offensive Coordinator.

Look how much he improved already. And he WILL improve. It's all in his mechanics. Once that gets tighter and quicker you'll see less strip sacks and more accuracy from him.
