You know what this is the weakest counterpunch in the history of counterpunching. Wojo>SAS.

This...I couldn't care less that they didn't want to come here, but then we could have just held on to Kirk and the #17th and drafted a SG with it.
Obviously Wade with his "Chicago has no loyalty" and Leduche with his worship me BS could have just stated from the beginning that they wanted to play together in Miami.
They did it because they wanted teams to lessen talent by dumping contracts. If a team like New York and Chicago knew they were never signing there then talent would not have been just dropped for nothing.
They did it so teams would be weaker and it would be easier for them to get a title.

I'm not surprised at this. Of course it sucks that the Heatles wasted our time. But, at the end of the day, I don't think Salmons and Kirk would really make our team anymore dangerous than it is, eventhough both are better than Bogans. Like all three of them brick threes all the time, and that's really what we need from our SG now.

Re: SAS: LBJ, Wade and CB4 had no intention of joining the Bulls
I posted this when it was happening.....Wade knew exactly what he was doing, I believe his job was to purposely distract the Bulls so they wouldn't go after Joe Johnson first. I believe they knew if we had picked up JJ and Boozer there was no way they would beat us especially this year.
When they had supposedly met.....it wasn't to decide if they were going to sign in Miami, they had already decided that, it was to how to distract the other teams and on how to sell it.
I just can't believe the Bulls fell for it, I can't believe they didn't know what was up with all the leaks that go around.

Re: SAS: LBJ, Wade and CB4 had no intention of joining the Bulls
Much easier to rout for our team now. Would you like to see Wade whine and bitch everytime someone breathes in his direction? Or Bosh RuPaul act? Or cope with LeBitch his stupid a.. comments everytime. Gimme Rose and Noah, they're great to support. It would have been really nice to have James Anderson though, or Eric Bledsoe or Avery Bradley, or Landry Fields (;))
To set this whole thing up allthough they were sure how it would play out is the real a..act though. Pong is right, they did it just to weaken teams. Can you imagine how much fun they had when all those teams were setting themselves up... I hope they end up with not much to show for all those intrigues

Re: SAS: LBJ, Wade and CB4 had no intention of joining the Bulls
Not a surprise at all. On this one, I believe SAS over Wojo. SAS nailed the superfriends going to Miami. Wojo was one of the primary guys saying "Chicago".
IMHO, I do think there is a good case to be made that Lebron's group was intentionally trying to screw over the Bulls. Maybe they looked at Chicago as a threat, IDK. Either way, Chicago gave up a lot for Kyle Korver and Ronnie Brewer.

I also think that if we would have ignored Wade and went straight after JJ and showed him much love along with Rose indicating that JJ was his guy, I believe JJ might have signed here for less. Especially early indications had that he wanted to be here anyways and he knew with Boozer he would be the favorites in the eastern conference.
What could have been Boozer and JJ and able to keep Hinrich coming off of the bench. Then we are still able to draft James Anderson.

Re: SAS: LBJ, Wade and CB4 had no intention of joining the Bulls
It's not surprising. I think we all had the idea in the back of our heads - and it definitely became obvious after they all chose Miami. Let's face it, ever since Kobe Chicago has become the go-to bargaining chip for every elite NBA player. Not getting what you want? Mention CHICAGO!
What comforts me is that we have our own home-grown superstar who is growing and becoming an elite player right before our eyes. There is NOTHING more satisfying. We even got to see it in the Jordan era. With the exception of the Rodman addition, the rest of the core was home grown - with ancillary pieces thrown in through free agency.

2024: Maybe there's some hope?

Lets just say we could have gotten JJ to take a normal contract and a legit chance to win.
We sign JJ and Boozer, kept Hinrich and our draft pick.
Starters: Rose, JJ, Noah, Deng, and Boozer
Bench: Hinrich, Gibson, Osik, James Anderson, Johnson, Thomas, Scalabrine, and still have Bogans (league mininmum).

We couldn't have signed JJ and kept hinrich under any senerio. To get JJ even under that 4 year 60 mil contract we would have had to trade Kirk to Washington. Plus the hawks offered him the max pretty much right away.
We could have just kept Kirk and our draft pick and had a better team!

Bunch of kids that's all they are.
They are scared of Derrick Rose being a star, and MJ's shadow.

You would also need to get rid of one of Brewer or Korver, both of which I'd rather have than Hinrich.

How is this news?
Didn't we have about 5 million pages of threads discussing how the big three planned this all along? Yeah, at this point, no duh.
