If Rip doesn't go to the Nets in the proposed deal, I think he'll definitely end up with a contender. I just can't see him being sent to Minny. I've always liked him and he fills a positional need, but I'd rather keep starting Corey or Wes and look for vet help elsewhere.

Then why do we want Randolph so bad?

I don't actually have to explain this do I?

But Jamison has already accepted a reserve role on a bad team, so he'd be less likely to complain about his role as backup.

I thought Rip already called the WAAAAAAAAAAmublance for that reason already.

What about Jason Terry? All I ever hear from Dallas people is they want him gone, but he seems like a quality SG/back up PG to me.

Butler and Terry for Webster and Pekovic works.

I like Webster, but he is eating all of Wes' backup SF minutes. Pekovic just doesn't impress me much, but he would be a good offensive compliment for Dallas. Though, there post defense would suck testicles any time he would be out there with Dirk!

I could also envision sending Brewer is this deal.

I really dont want Rip. Its obvious that Rip wants to go to a contender since he bailed on his team. Why would he be any different in a wolves uniform? I dont think he would be a good locker room presence with that kinda attitude

I wouldn't go that far, I mean he has a right to be upset. Trading Billups, signing Rip's replacement while he's still on the roster, they haven't done a lot to make him feel loved.

no way on Rip. He has been on a gradual decline for 2 years, and is toast making a ton of money. Absolutely not.

If you'd take on Rip. What about Barbosa? Brewer for Barbosa + MIA 1st?

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Sorry, Raps - you can keep Barbosa and that 1st. I'm not sure if that 1st is an asset in 2011 or not. As for Barbosa, he's one of my least favorite players in the league - PLEASE don't make me watch him play 3 or 4 times a week.

Rip is paid more but he has the benefit of not being an undersized SG/tweener. Plus he's actually won a championship before so that's another pro.
