I still think we will do something, whether or not it's "big" I don't know. But it's also easier for us to point at players and say "go get him" when we don't know the actual price tag. I doubt that if he could have gotten Mayo or Iggy for capspace and useless assets he would have turned either down.

Re: What move is most important/realistic before the deadline?
I was interested in Marc Gasol, but between our lack of cap space and Kahn's love affair with Darko it seems apparent that our FO has little interest in going after him this summer. I would think Gasol starting with Darko off the bench would be a better C rotation. (My apologies to the Montenegran Rapist in advance, please don't rape me. )
I am also curious about Nick Young but I don't think the Wizards would be interested in trading him.
At least if we get Magic Randolph we will be able to go on the Warriors board and gloat about how amazing he is going to be. That's worth 1.5M right there.

I agree. I'm still hoping that Iggy will be cheaper at the deadline. I just read this article and just thought about how Iggy really might be just what we need. I have no idea who the author is, but just hearing about an incident like that makes me think MAYBE they are more open to trading him than they were a month ago (hopefully lowering the price tag).

Can I post a link like that? Or are there rules I'm missing?

^Unfortunately that blogger missed the entire context of the incident. Turner had just made a rookie mistake (didn't take an open shot, tried to make something more), and Hawes yelled at him for it. Turner took it real personal and started to yell at Hawes. Iggy just checked Turner before he could 'get into it' with his own teammate.
While you can make an arguement that Iggy is stunting turners development, okay. But the incident was more about keeping the team in check on the court, which is actually more of what we need, not less of it.

No no no, you need less of it. He's not the kind of player you're looking for

i really don't think there is a great difference in terms of impact from gasol to darko, gasol might be a slightly better offensive player but imo darko has a greater impact defensively than gasol. i would still take darko everyday, and anyway, gasol is gonna command a pretty dam big salary...darko is locked in at a cheap contract.
EDIT: oh and bring randolph here immediately

Luckily for you, we won't be getting Gasol, or any other impact player. Why bring in Randolph to break up the great thing we have going?

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Cool. Thanks for adding the correct context.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I interpreted that incident with Iggy and Turner. I've got no problem with how Iggy stopped it.

Murphy wants out and it sounds like the Dev situation is precarious. If/when Dev & Murphy get traded, I am curious whether Minny and the Nets could work out something involving Jonny Flynn. Yes I know Kyrie Irving is going to be the #1 pick but lets face it, Stern ain't letting either of our teams win the lottery. With that sad reality in mind:
I'm basically thinking something along these lines. The third team could be Portland, Sactown, Dallas, Houston, etc.
NJ in: Flynn + exp (Mr 50 + Barea)
MN in: asset (like Roddy B) + Murphy (buyout)
Third team in (Dal): Dev Harris

You would think getting Dev back would be enough of a carrot to give up Roddy B but its hard to say.
