Makes complete sense. But I can imagine Hill has the capability to bring Carter into the fold. Besides, I think Carter in PHX has the potential to be > Carter in ORL. That, and Carter seems like the kind of guy where a good personal performance combined with a team win will greatly impact his attitude.

Take the win over NYK by way of example.

Makes a 4 hour post JUST to bring down vince carters name.

EVerything he just typed it so out of context I couldn't even put the real story together.

Warning sent. Personal attacks.

What exactly defines a "4 hour long post."

Anyway, what gives YOU the right to tell someone else to "shut the hell up?" Let someone have his own opinion, and let him state it. After all, this IS a discussion board. Freedom of speech is allowed, and encouraged here, unlike some places. e.g North **** Korea.

You can't question Vince's motivation and heart by "he doesn't drive..."

Because he will never drive much, never was, never will. That's the way he plays and when he drives, he avoids contacts.

If he is "not being" asked to take responsibilities, he won't. He basically does what coach asks, nothing more, nothing less though. I hope Gentry did not ask Vince to just be a team player, share the ball, because that's the Vince we won't want to see... :-?

And I am a VC fanboy! ;)

Vince drove a tonne in New Jersey. His first three seasons there he averaged 6.8, 7.6, and 7.0 free throw attempts per game. And even now he shoots 25%+ of his shots from in the lane, which is more than just about every other guard his age or older. Hell, it's more than many forwards and even some centres. Even Kobe only shoots about 20% of his shots from in the lane. And Kobe is only 32 years old.

You don't average over 7 free throw attempts per game over a 3 year period by "avoiding contact". He may not drive much now, but 4-6 years ago he drove a tonne.

Supposedly though he is being asked to take 15-20 shots per game. If he can do that and maintain a true shooting percentage of 55%+ (he's at 55.4% so far with the Suns), he will put up great scoring numbers.
