Spurs won, and even if they didn't, we won't be catching them. Our schedule is too difficult from here on out, and we're pretty mediocre against teams that don't suck, as evidenced by tonights loss.

Mavs, Thunder, Lakers, Nuggets, etc. are all playing for 2nd seed this year.

Eh, Nuggets aren't playing for 2nd seed. They'd be lucky to get a top 4 seed, and if they lose Melo they'd be lucky to make the playoffs. I'd say it's between us and Dallas for 2nd. Fortunately for us the injury bug hit the Mavs because they were steam rolling teams before Butler, Dirk, and Chandler went down. I think they'll finish ahead of us as well, so I'm guessing we'll end up 3rd or 4th.

We really screwed up by not taking advantage of that early easy schedule. What a disappointment. Oh well.

I was expecting this loss... Hell, I stopped waking up like an idiot @ 5 am to watch the games this season because they just don't wanna play. So much struggling... :D I'm downloading them.

The question that shivers me : "Will Kobe play any better than he's doing at the moment ? Will that small quantity of liquid between the bones reapear to let Kobe play better ?"

If not, the team is not gonna win it this year and in the future. When Kobe retires, Andrew Bynum retires too...

Luke Walton is the biggest dud I have ever seen. He is one of the SLOWEST players in the league, when he plays defense its like he is in slow motion. What does be bring to the team? Nothing!

I don't mind losing, but one thing that today did prove is that Walton is a spud, although I am sure most of us already knew that.

How on earth Phil Jackson is playing this guy over Ebanks I'm not sure. Ebanks brings 100% effort and energy on the court and at least he has some sort of future in the NBA.

They deserved to lose this game, no way in hell should you be letting Jason Kidd and Marion beat you. Terry hit shots too but at least he's a guy you expect to hit, plus he's a front runner anyway. He only plays well at home to me, our defense has to get to a point where they actually give a damn about stopping teams.

Oh yeah screw the Spurs, anybody thinking their just going to cruise really don't know ball all that well. They'll falter soon and I'm going to be the one saying I told you so. Besides we don't need to be the one seed over all in the west, we can beat them like we have in the past without it. Yeah our schedule is a bit tough, but if we don't own up to it and play like we can play we don't deserve no damn title anyway. Champions win games on the road, depending on home games doesn't always guarantee anything.

It's easy to overreact to this kind of loss, but remember, Kobe's going to be playing 40 min. at least once the Playoffs start, these blown leads and what not won't continue. Sucks that we have these mental lapses, but Dallas was due a win. Anyone notice lately how quick Kobe is, he's getting to the rim much easier and finishing well. Good signs.

I just want the Lakers at the very least to get a better record than anyone out East. Call me skeptical, but I doubt the Spurs. Manu is having a terrific year and they've seem to become more dangerous of an offensive team than ever before, but i still have doubt about them and how affective Duncan still is. He's posting up pretty good numbers in limited minutes, but they'll need him to be more than pretty good in the Playoffs. As long as we can get ahead of the Celtics and Heat, I feel fine.

we simply didn't play any D. Also Kid made a lot of jumpers... A bit of bad luck too.

But another good game by bryant, involved Fisher early, tried to give artest some confidence too but he can't make shots anymore :(

Gasol played great and Bynum was doing ok until the elbow injury. Odom played great on offense.

I credit this to Bryant by making the offense flow, I just hope he doesn't go into crazy mode trying to win games on his own. WE LOST THE GAME ON D. Artest is also getting tired.

I just hope that Phil for some reason try a gamble with Ebanks for a couple of games. Ebanks could improve our second unit D the same way Ariza did(by gambling on the passing lanes, hustling, etc). and he's a much better offensive player at this point than Puke Walton.

PS: When will the staples center crowd stop giving love to Puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke Walton? Let Phil know that we don't like that piece of useless ****.

He f. SUCKS. Simple as that. "Oh, his IQ, bla bla bla" Please, BBall IQ alone means nothing. I bet there are 1000 SF's in the world that could make open 3's with more efficiency than him. He makes the job tougher for our bench players...

^ Sasha has been great for NJ so far. He's in double-figures in scoring almost every game.

The only thing worse than the Lakers losing is knowing that Kobe is going to gripe and complain about his teammates afterwards. He lived up to the script last night.
