Latest Triangle Question

Post#1 » by Klomp » Thu Jan 20, 2011 7:04 am

Rambis, when asked by an L.A. reporter to describe the triangle offense in 10 words or fewer: "Why don't you ask somebody who runs it all the time?"

Who is a trying to kid at this point? Everyone knows we run the Triangle.

Edit:

Or maybe that's the problem. All of the "*wink*wink* We don't run the Triangle, guys. *wink*wink* (but we secretly really do)" is why the offense looks like such a disjointed mess most of the time. The guys have no idea what offense they're running. They think it's the Triangle, but Rambis has them second guessing themselves.

Edit 2:

Or maybe he's being completely honest. We don't run the Triangle all of the time. Some of the time we run the Triangle and the rest of the time we run the "move as fast as possible and turn the ball over" offense. :dontknow:

There's more pick and rolls and ISOs in this offence then in a traditional Triangle one. Also, I'm not sure if those high post hand offs are part of it either, the Lakers never seem to run that. The only time we really run a traditional triangle set is usually when they give the ball to Darko in the post.

What Rambis said makes sense. If that reporter wants to know about triangle offense, just ask Phil Jackson and that reporter is from l.a. lol

We run way way to much Iso. I almost feel bad for Beasley that half of his attempts are...give him the ball beyond the 3 and get the F out of the way...or I like the hay the shot clock is at 5 give the ball to Love or Beasley perhaps they can bail us out. It's getting old.
