Beno
A few questions
1) is he at all on the trade block
2) if so, what would the Kings be looking for in return

Re: Beno
Anyone not named Tyreke and Demarcus can be had for the right package.
Beno? Sure. One of the Kings biggest needs is a game changing PG. Doubt we get that with a straight swap for Beno, and the Kings wont trade away their starting PG without getting another PG in return. If a team is looking to trade for Beno the only way i can see that working for the kings is if he is packaged with another player or a 3rd team gets involved.

You a Warriors fan? We'll pay dearly for Curry.

Re: Beno
Yes I am a Warriors fan but we are looking for bigs right now. If the Warriors were to go after anyone on the Kings right now would Daly for back up behind Andris
I am actually looking at a 3 way idea, but curious to see what type of return the Kings would want for him..
So the idea of Evans as the PG has gone to the wayside?

Re: Beno
Expirings would be the starting point I would imagine. That and a prospect.
Don't know about Curry. I like him but I don't think he'd be the same player here with Evans and Cousins. Curry looks as good as he does because he has the ball a lot, here I wouldn't want to see the ball halved yet again. We need intangible types that make an impact without the ball. Curry's too good in other areas to be put in that role.

Re: Beno
k, gonna end this Curry talk...
The Warriors arent trading Curry to get Beno, so any thoughts there should be moot... The price would be way too high and no Kings fan would ever agree to what the Warriors would want in return
But expirings and mid level prospect i could see or a replacement PG.. I can work with those

Beno literally went from being one of the worst contracts in the league to worth expirings+prospects/picks

No Cousin or Evans, but anything else and multpile picks. I'd trade anything else we had in spades.

Re: Beno
I'd gladly give our 2011 1st unprotected for Curry. Even if we end up with the 1st pick this summer, Curry's skill set fit almost every hole we have at the guard position. Even though someone like Kyrie Irving may be a better player, I think that Evans and Cousins would both benefit from playing with Curry. What I'm trying to say is that even though I don't think Curry will be a "Super Star", I can see him being a player that helps Tyreke and Cousins become Super Stars.
If the reports are true about the Warriors looking to make a trade for a star player, the Kings pick would be a valuable trade chip for them, especially going towards a team that already has a point guard and who wouldn't value Curry as much.

You might get a better response if you lay out the framework of your 3 way idea. Beno by himself has probably more value to us(since he's a great fit to Evans) than he would likely garner in trade. So establish the premise, and we can go from there. More than anything the Kings need shooting, play-making and defense on the perimeter. Since Beno provides many of those things, lateral trade would happen. I'd be happy to add our lotto pick with Beno to nab someone like Curry, because he upgrades those things from Beno. However, you seem opposed to deal that which we're looking for. We don't need a different position. We need a PG. So lay it out, or deal with the Curry talk.

Re: Beno
Well my 3 way deal never shook out the way I was hoping.. So no longer interested in Beno
If you guys want Curry, the price would be.. after you finish in the top 3 of the lotto.. On draft day.. Curry and Williams for your top 3 guaranteed pick and Cousins
Like I said, the price is way too high.. The Warriors have no reason to trade Curry to a rival just 90 miles up the road while making their team worse.. So the Kings would have to OVERPAY to acquire him.. That would be the deal.. no added filled is needed.

Lol. How about we throw in Tyreke, and let you kick all of us in the groin as well. Way to end the thread in style.

nah, you can keep Tyreke.. I live in Sac.. when I am in town at least want to watch two good players, but like I said, Kings would have to OVERPAY to get a player from their rival
but if you dont mind the kick in the groin, sure no problem.. send Evans

Sorry, but Curry is only a role player, and he would be as such on the Kings. A high lotto pick and Landry would be more than enough value-wise.

Hahaha. Trust me, there is NOTHING on the Warriors right now that would land you Cousins, let alone him and our 1st.

Eh, that's temporary though, and if it remains that way we are in some really deep **** if you know what I mean. Beno's been on fire, but it isn't adding up into wins now or long term so the impact for us is minimal. If Petrie ever wanted a chance to maybe clear out some or all of Beno's salary now would be it. Still hard though because with all the recent PG's coming out of college the last few years I don't see a lot of teams scrambling for a decent PG like Beno. He makes too much to be a backup so it's going to be tough.
I'm sure Petrie has no interest in moving Beno, but that could all change come draft night. Will it be too late to move him then though?
