I think this has been misreported. I think the trade is:

Lexy and a 2nd round pick

Toronto

The 2nd round pick is the one the Raps traded to draft Alibi with.

Yup, it looks like

Lexy
TOR 2nd round pick
(and possbily cash)

for

draft rights of some random guy with greek surname who will never be in the nba

Toronto will consumate a bit of their TPE and Mavs will create their own of the amount of Lexy's salary.

This all seems to be on hold as per wiretap. Maybe they're just waitin' for Peja to clear the waivers to pull the trigger.

I don't think he does occupy a roster spot if he's in the D league. But your trade seems okay, just a little off balance. Maybe Toronto sends a 2nd round pick to Dallas for Alexis.

D-Leaguers with a contract with NBA team occupy roster spots on NBA teams. )

The confusing was caused by someone stating the pick going to Toronto is the same they used for getting Alabi from Mavs and using a it of a tricky wording.

Similar to

Okafor, Bobcats' first ever pick -> ??? GOD ??? -> Okafor AND first round pick for Chandler

Thats got to be old. Surely once TT went down injured Diaw became less likely to be traded.

I'm glad I wasn't there; cell phone would have been out on video and I'd been laughing my ass off ... unless she was hot, then I'd jump in there after her.
