We wanted a defensive minded guard to round out the rotation for our team, and two options presented themselves, both of whom have criminal issues.

We opted for Micheal Ray Richardson, not only because he was more of a point guard, but also because his criminal allegations don't involve sex trafficking of minors. :nonono:

Before he let drugs ruin his career, he was an elite guard who could score, defend, swipe the ball, and rebound. His size made him a tough cover for opposing guards and he made all defensive teams multiple times in his shortened career. In 1984, he also lead a shocking upset of the defending champion Philadelphia 76ers.
