But that was partly due to choice of gameplanning and playcalling and in general a poor job by the coaching staff for most of the year. It doesn't matter much what the other guys do cause Stafford is the money player and he's the one that's supposed to be capable of putting up big TD totals, not the other guys, they are just backups and clearly not as good as Stafford and we can't count on them to produce those kind of numbers.

30 TDs is pushing it, but certainly attainable i think. As long as he stays healthy (i know i know), he has got the supporting cast and the skillset to put up big numbers. I think we will probably open up the offense more with him in full time as well.

Point is, i can see 30 TDs. seriously

besides the QB being healthy we need another top drafted reciever 1st -2nd round to take attenion off CJ. than maybe stafford could come close to 30 td
Defence Wins Championships,we need to return to the Bad Boy era.

We don't have the picks to take a WR in the first 2 rounds though, cause we squandered our opportunities all season long to shave a need or two off through proper trading and waiver wire claims. Kiss your "bigtime WR addition via the draft" dream goodbye. In my roster we would have Blount, Woodhead, and a 3rd new guy very likely at all, and you can get your WR or other players by trading Best, Morris, Smith, and Brown, none of those guys had much of a shot of being on my team last year, they all would have been traded for market price. The prices could have been low on Brown due to lack of playing time and Smith due to injury so there would have been a likelihood I would have stuck with one of those 2 guys to fill the 3rd roster spot but I can't remember who all the RBs were that were cut during the season besides the 2 guys that I had been keeping special tabs on, but I'm sure there were probably a couple of guys I would have swapped for that got cut along the way.

Plus there is always the small chance that we could have filled the WR need last year, cause Bryant Johnson should have been traded or cut as well as at least one other WR. Burleson and CJ could have made interesting trade bait, and now we lose cause we will never get CJ's value from last year back and we could have had all that value in tact for the future. Every year we lose another piece of him that we didn't have to lose by transferring his value before using it up in a lost cause these past several years. A true shame and waste of an opportunity, hopefully we do things right next year.

Stafford had shoulder surgery, it apparently wasn't healing well enough on its own. A/C joint repaired and the shoulder socket shaved, which means he won't have lingering pain. Should be back throwing by May. If you're looking for a comparison this surgery is very similar to the one Drew Brees had done before he went to New Orleans, even the exact same surgeon. Brees also had a torn tendon which Stafford did not.

Didn't Bradford also have the same surgery before he was drafted? As long as Stafford works out that shoulder and gets it stronger, he should be fine. Hopefully he can stay upright next season and we can finally see what our offense is truly made of.
