OT - How will you react?

Post#1 » by Wilford Brimley » Sat Jan 22, 2011 4:13 pm

How will you react if we win, and if we lose?

Lose - Sit in stun, say nothing. Tear up a bit when I'm alone, throw a pillow or two.

Win - Bawl like a **** baby. With how much money, time and effort I've invested in this team, I am not ashamed to do so. I will cry and hug everyone in sight. There is more of a chance I will cry if we win than if we lose.

Iwas pretty numb after the Rose Bowl. I imagine I would be a lot like that again if we were to lose.

If we win I'll dance a jig on jay cutlers grave.

I told a girl yesterday that I'd cry if the Packers won, and she goes, "You'd CRY over a FOOTBALL game?!?! Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard."

I was over the Rose Bowl loss in about 20 minutes.

I might get over a loss in this game in about 20 years.

I cried after the Packers lost in the NFC Championship in 07. I'll probably do the same should they lose tomorrow.

As for winning, I'll likely end up getting very intoxicated :D

EDIT: Actually, I'll likely be getting very intoxicated either way.

Win= Extremely happy, will watch AFCC with great interest, will revel in it until the Pro Bowl then get nervous for the SB.

Loss=Won't even watch AFCC, ESPN, etc. for a couple of days. Just listen to a bit of local sports talk to confirm that there are other people out there that feel as crappy as me. No Pro Bowl, root heavily against the Bears in the SB but will have an uncomfortable feeling that they're a team of destiny.

Silver lining will be that with Finley, Grant, etc. we should be better next year.

I've never cried over sporting events. win or lose.

If we lose, I'll probably just shut off nfl till the superbowl. WHen we lost the 07 game, I didnt watch/read any nfl related tv, news, articles till the actual superbowl started.

If we lose, the NFL season will end. Won't watch the second game or the SuperBowl most likely. I think the only reason I watched the 2007 SB was to see if New England could finish with a perfect record.

Because I was there to witness it, I think I felt like dying. An exaggeration I suppose, but it gets the point across. I don't think it will be quite that bad if we were to lose this game tomorrow, but it would be pretty bad. Whiskey would likely be involved. I'd forego the AFCC and turn on the AO for the night instead, hoping they don't get word of what had happened state-side. Next time I tune in for anything football related will be the pro bowl IF any Packers decide to play. If not, then I'm skipping that too.

If we win, the jubilance would ensue watching the AFCC and SportsCenter to bask in the glory of the win, listening to them talk about the Packers going to the Superbowl. I would also start making plans for a Superbowl party. I'd make mental note of all of the things from that day that I need to replicate for the Superbowl. I'll go nuts here, probably on Facebook, and find out how Finley is reacting on Twitter. My mood would be unstoppably positive for the next 24 hours.

I don't know if I want the Packers to Win more then I want to see the Bears lose. I dont think i can handle hearing about them winning it all. They still wont shut up about the 85 Team.

Much like I was when the Brewers made the playoffs two years back, I will be in a state of euphoria and bliss for at least the next two weeks and longer if they win the thing.

when we lost to the Giants in 2007, I honestly wasn't overly shocked.... They played better and I could accept that...we didn't take advantage of the opportunities they gave us

But if we lose tomorrow, I will be pretty numb. Prolly won't watch anything untill the Super Bowl.. but I will have intense optimism for 2011... if there is a 2011.

This exactly.

When we lost to the Giants in 2007, I was pretty depressed for a few days but got over it because I figured the Pats would be a tough matchup anyway. When UW lost to TCU, I was apoplectic and absolutely disgusted with Bucky...it ruined the whole season for me.

But this...this would just devastate me. That's why I'm so nervous about tomorrow. The high of winning and the low of losing are extremes in this case for me.
