I saw it on ESPN breaking news.

just saw this kevin goldstein tweet that about sums up the trade perfectly

$5 million to the #Angels is the equivalent of beating the **** out of a guy at a bar and then buying him a drink because you feel bad.

Shameless. Chewed Up. Hilarious.

Not only is Napoli a better hitter than Wells, he is also a better defensive player. Then they get the Angels to take on that brutal contract. The only way this trade is even is if the Jays throw in 50+ million. That is how lopsided this deal is. Quite possibly the worst trade ever at the time it happened.

I really can't believe that most LAA fans like this trade!
Though there outfield is fantastic defensively with Hunter,Wells and Bourjos

this might be one of the worst trades in a decade

taking on 80 mill AND giving up players to do so? TOR couldnt even give him away last year

Actually not really. Wells and Hunter have been declining defensively. Wells was at a time above average, but now he's a below average CF defensively.
