Game Thread - Wiz vs Boston Jan 22, 2011 - WIZ WIN !!!!

Post#1 » by hands11 » Sat Jan 22, 2011 8:57 pm

First back to back at Home - Both teams playing on a back to back.

NEWS:
SHAQ OUT with a Hip. Left last night games.
Celtics without Kendrick Perkins and Jermaine O'Neal.

Rivers' team, however, has dropped three of five on the road after winning six in a row.

While the Wiz record is nothing to write home about they do have.

#4 Assist Leader in John Wall
#7 SG in Super Bean
#2 Shot blocker in McGee

Not bad pieces for the future. If Wall could only play better D and shoot a little better, he would be an AS this year.

Wall vs Rondo. First Meeting of the Kentucky players.
Very similar games. Since Rondo doesn't shoot well, Wall should have less to worry about when defending him.

Nick vs Allen.
Two pure shooters going head to head.

PP vs Lewis.
Very different players. A PP is a key piece the Wiz are missing.

Dray vs KG battle.
That is always fun to watch.

McGee vs Semih Erden
While this isn't Shaq, this kid looks like he is more polished than McGee already.

 Best Game Thread ever. What the heck, I'll do a bit of rubber-necking tonight, but that's about it. I just want to fast-forward to the off-season already.

Ditto. It's another season of looking forward to the draft.

FEAR THE BEAN

Image

I hope that let Nick play some SG/PF/SF ala a Kobe style. Let him start more with the ball in his hand and take it from there. Shoot, Drive or Dish

Let Wall start off doing his normal 10 assist first quarter then make the switch.

Looks like we will see Seraphin again since someone has to cover Big Bady.

Will it matter? :) This is a live practice game for Boston.

Might as well consider this a road game ...

So we're right on target. Blatche has already missed two layups. Pierce and Allen are getting easy looks. Can't wait for Shakur to come in tonight.

Not only that, Blatche missed an ugly jump shot and seemingly refused to cover a wide open Pierce 3. The Wiz bench got on him about it, and he seemed to say something to the effect that - Well, he's not my man.

Is there a brain in his head?

Blatche single handedly makes this team very hard to watch.

It's ok, the more Dray sucks the better chance we have at a top 5 pick. That means we can draft Dray's replacement at PF.

Freakin loser.

True but unless we get Sullinger, anybody coming in here will be a year or two away from being an impact player. I wish we could just trade the stiff, but who wants him? At least we have Mustafa Shakur.

I hate listening to fans cheering for the other team in a Wizards home game.

It it were legal, I'd send Yi and Blatche to Bismark and bring up Hamadi and the best power forward available. Wishful thinking.

Nick is playing like this is a road game.

I know it's five minutes, but I like Shakur 100x better than Lester Hudson. Much more of a pure point.
