I vote for McGee. He was active and made a difference on defense.

I also liked what he did on offense.

They missed open shots. But so did our guys - yeah they're Wizards players - but Nick Young hasn't been dog food this year. And Rashard Lewis isn't dog food either.

Wiz dug down own D. Andray was doing little things on the defensive end. Also, he was taking it to the cup. McGee on D was good too.

Good win. Wizards take this victory without any sense of entitlement or shame. Earned win, period.

Weird. I had no idea that Lewis had such a great stat line. He really manages to fit into the flow, and he gets a lot of rebounds by being in the right place at the right time. Statistically, it's hard to argue against him. He led the team in points (on a good percentage) and rebounds despite playing fewer minutes than all the other starters save Blatche.

All that said, my gut feel is that one of McGee or Wall deserves POTG. Wall was strong in the fourth quarter, and McGee played good D all night.

I'll go:

1. McGee
2. Lewis
3. Wall

As I type this at 9:58 p.m., look at how many different Wizards have votes in the radio buttons at the top. Perhaps I should have voted Wizards TEAM win.

I voted for Flip Saunders. Coaching masterpiece.

I loved his substitutions. Saw him encourage McGee. Heard him yell for Wall to run in the third. Love that he let McGee SHOOT the ball. Love that he didn't pull McGee when Boston was beating him for rebounds. Flip was positive as all heck today!

For POTG I would say it's close between Wall and McGee. Really felt like a team win. Lewis and Blatche fought hard and IMO out-willed Garnett and Davis. Lewis destroyed Pierce with baseline turnarounds.

Honorable Mention: MUSTAFA SHAKUR. Sign that guy for the year. He's a beast defensively. Also a scorer and distributor. Dude can ball.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Wall's turnovers didn't really hurt us that much and he was the catalyst for our surge in the 4th that led to the win, including the 3 that essentially sealed the deal.

My vote goes to Wall.

1. John Wall
2. Rashard Lewis (best statline but he was off when it mattered most)
3. JaVale McGee

Honorable mention: Mustafa Shakur

Pine, I agree it was a well-coached, team win.

The Wizards took the Celtics heart today.

Wow. Every starter but Lewis was a negative in the plus/minus.

But look at our bench. Everyone was in the plus except Yi who was neutral.

So shouldn't Flip Saunder and Team victory be consolidated. Can't see voting for one with out it including the other.

Zards won with defense and McGee was at the center of the defensive whirlwind.

I'll just plagiarize your list (Wall looking fearless and hitting shots in the 4th clinched it), and add honorable mention to Saunders for coaching a good game.

I saw a lot I liked tonight, especially Blatche coming back from a horrible start. Thornton played good minutes, and even Yi got some clutch boards.

G Mustafa Shakur
5 points (2-4 fg; 0-2 3pts; 0-1 ft), 2 boards, 5 dimes, 2 blocks, +6 in 10 minutes.

Had we not had this kid we would have had a much harder time. Kirk was injured and hasn't played well lately. This kid came in and made a lot of heads up mature plays. That is when the tide started to turn.

Flip used everyone and they responded. Even Martin got in early. Yi came in an rebound and hit some shots. Seraphin got in and helped.

Since every starter except Lewis had a plus, minus negative and every bench player a plus, you have to give the rotations and bench players a lot of credit for this one. Also every starter shot between 11-13 shots and the team played great D. And they over game Nick going 1-13 and still won. That is amazing. The fact it was against Boston who got out to a really hot start make it freakn incredible.

I'm give them one to the Flip/EG/The Team but since that isn't a choice, I choose Flip.

1. Mcgee
2. Blatche
3. Lewis

lewis and dray were both really efficient tonight and battled on the defensive end. How I'd love to dray averaging around 50% percent and keeping his shot attempts under 15.

Javale is a goof... But he changes games.

Shakur finished with a team-high five assists, one more than Wall, to go along with five points in 10 minutes. Shakur so impressed Coach Flip Saunders that he said the rookie could have been the player of the game for helping to keep the deficit somewhat in check when circumstances easily could have spiraled downward.

I agree w/Flip :D
