Vince Carter Documentary - Beyond the Glory

Primo thought this was a very well made documentary that explores the behind-the-scene life of Vince Carter in a compact manner.

Many of you may have seen it, but Primo is sure many of you have not. The current Raptors squad is almost saddening to watch, so why not take a walk on memory lane back to the glory days?

Clarence is questioning why Primo is referring to himself in 3rd person. Clarence is confused. Clarence uses 'Shut up', it's super effective!

Does anyone else find that the mother is somewhat manipulative? Primo also feels she has her priorities wrong, and is somewhat irresponsible.

Honestly he didn't have that will to win that great players like Kobe and MJ have. Seemed like he was satisfied with being one of the faces of the league and a perennial all star.

Maybe if McGrady sticked around, they would have kept each other motivated and hungry.

Ahhhh what could have been.

Mods should just ban people for continously referring to themselves in the 3rd person. SMH...

IMO, his mother prevented him from breaking out into a great star.

Imagine a scenario where she wasn't at his side 24/7 advising him on everything in his life and letting him grow into being a man.

I'll bet she hated the Oak man and any other player that challenged him to step it up.

Sport documentaries are sooo dramatized. Still entertaining.

Watching this again now. I have no beef with VC, who else brought us that deep in the playoffs? Even if we beat Philly we would've got scorched by LA. No one remembers 2nd place after a few years.

Wait, are you guys from the Raptors board?
And fredericklove, nice place you're staying at. :)

AND a documentary on Vince? Really? Isn't a thread dedicated to that kind of unnecessary?

I sometimes wonder if he hit that Shot if we would of beat the Bucks like the Sixers did and go to the Finals. That year we beat the bucks twice and lakers once so it would not of been impossible. Also Tmac and Vince would of been the first One Two punch duo of the new generation. Now all you see is 1-2-3-4 stars on a team, it takes talent to win games. One day we will get to see another playoff game 7 =)

just a warning, sometimes Raptor fans make threads on Vince. mods don't like it and then move it to the board that Vince's team is currently on. It happens alot.

And I watched this documentary a long time ago. Brings back a lot of exciting memories. I wish the Suns had this kind of Vince Carter.

We've certainly witnessed beyond the glory in the last 2 games.

Return to Phoenix Suns
