I think Chandler would be a perfect fit as part of a core of Griffin, EG, and Jordan. He would take some of the scoring burden off of Griffen and Gordon, while also spreading the floor for Blake to operate underneath as teams would pay for doubling off of either Wilson or Gordon. I think if you guys could just draft a PG you would be a lock to make the playoffs.
Jordan
Griffin
Chandler
Gordon
drafted PG
So out of curiosity what do you guys think the offer would be to trade for Illson?

I don't think there's anything you guys would take at the risk of Melo not being traded and you would need to sign him, but our player would be eating eating cap space. We don't really have much in expirings this year.

If the Knicks can't get Carmelo, the Clippers seem to be willing to deal Kaman for a SF upgrade. They might do a Chandler for Kaman trade.
I'm not sure what the Knicks feel about getting more size for that team to compete in the East.

Re: What would you guys offer for Wilson Chandler?
Chandler would be a solid addition to that young core, but he is due for a hefty pay raise at the end of the year. I'm sure you guys could find a taker for Kaman; but with BDiddy still on the books, DJ's pending RFA, and Gordon/Blake soon to be due for an extension....would you guys pony up to pay Wilson in the offseason?
I think Knickelz is just guaging interest in Wilson. If we were to flip Chandler, it would be to send a prospect like Aminu who is on a cost-controlled rookie scaled contract to Denver for Melo.
Would there be any interest in such a swap? Would the Clippers take on such a financial obligation?

Re: What would you guys offer for Wilson Chandler?
If I would proxy for the Clippers GM I would do it if Chandler could be re-signed for 6-8 million a year. I think he would be overpaid if more than that. His game would fit in with the team I think. He's athletic and has already shown he can hit the 3 and play a bit of defense. Not needed to score more than 12-15 points a game. Just someone to space out the floor and check the opposing swingmen.
Kaman definitely can be moved if the Clippers need to keep under any self imposed cap. Gordon isn't up for an extension until Baron Davis' contract is up. If I were the Clippers, I'd look at acquiring Chandler as a move in the right direction as far as building around Griffin and Gordon.

Kaman, Rasual (expiring), Foye for Chandler, Randolph, and JR smith.
Nuggets get Kaman, Gallo, currys expiring and NY first rounder for Melo.
Knicks get Melo and Al Harrington.

We wouldn't trade Aminu for him, because we could try to land him in free agency.
If we were to trade Kaman for an expiring we'd be at around $40 mil(depends on how high our pick will end up being) and could go after Chandler, if we wanted to.
Jordan will need to be re-signed, but he's a RFA and we can match offers for him, while Gordon's extension wouldn't kick in before 2012 and Griffin's before 2013, when Baron's contract will be up.
So all things considered, I'm with ClipperEric in that we wouldn't give up anything for Chandler during the season.

I'd say nothing as well. If knicks sign melo outright in the offseason, they will have a glut of SF's, and would probably have to let wilson chandler walk anyways.

I'd be interested in getting Chandler & Randolph at the end of the season.
Would Kaman + a 1st round pick land us Chandler (resigned), Randolph and Turiaf?

Clippers don't need Chandler. They NEED to get involved in a Melo to NY trade to swipe Gallinari from the Knicks, unless the Nuggets suddenly become interested in him

Very interesting. Looking at his stats, he could definitely help this team; Also has great length for a SF. Could really help stretch the floor, and perhaps be counted on to produce when EJ/BG go out. He currently has a low salary, but you have to believe that he'll want a big time payday soon.
