Knicks trying to involve Grizz in 3way with Denver

I guess they figure since everyone else thinks the Lakers screwed the Grizz, they can go Marv Albert on them as well.

Per Broussard twittle...

@Chris_Broussard: NYK have reached out to Griz bout sending OJ Mayo to DEN in 3-team deal, sending Melo to NY, sources say.

Fields or Afflalo, don't really care about anyone else. Nobody should want JR Smith because he's gonna be a free agent and we all know the FO won't bring him back

I'm not too sold if that trade may happen. The Knicks have been at this for weeks with the Nugz trying to get Melo. And the same thing keeps popping up. The Knicks don't have the pieces for the Nugz to benefit from. I dare say there is a dark horse lurking in the wings who may have the pieces to pull off a trade for Melo. The big question is who.

Not to go Andy Rooney on you guys, "but do you ever wonder why no one ever reports what the Grizz motivation would be in doing this or reason for being included?"

The Grizz are not the NBA Farm system for larger markets. Do you see what one perceived lopsided deal will do to an organization?

That's exactly I'd like to say.

Not only FOs in the league, but a horde of thoughtless fans here are trying to rape Griz every time.

AS a Knicks fan I would want our front office to be interested in inquiring Mayo from your team. I see you guys like Randoplh dose your team have picks?

No does yours? If you are willing to trade a first round pick to Memphis then it might be doable if you want Mayo. Let us know.

So a draft night deal is something you fans think is fair?

If we can get some combination of Randolph, Fields and/or someone else, a pick etc. in exchange for OJ, then yeah, I'd be OK with a trade.
OJ doesn't fit with the Grizz roster as it's currently constructed. I don't see the star potential, but who knows, maybe OJ just doesn't want to be here and isn't trying his hardest.
