AFC Championship Game Thread: Jets @ Steelers

Post#1 » by Turk Nowitzki » Mon Jan 24, 2011 12:00 am

Discuss our potential opponent here.

Like MD said in the postgame thread, I don't want anything to do with the Steelers. Go Jets!

I would rather face the jets but both of these teams are good.

Honestly I see the Steelers and Jets defenses as a wash, but I am more afraid of the Steelers offense than the Jets. They are both good teams though.

Yeah same. The steelers are very similar to us in that they can play in every type of game. They have a better running game but we have a better QB. We need Starks to have a great game to have a chance against the steelers if they make it.

JJ said on the Fox post game that the Pack will be favored over both but I don't think so. I think Steelers would be favored by 3 and Jets would be about even.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm seeing the Steelers in our future. Still a long ways to go obviously, but they look to be in total control.

Steelers are scary... but a Pittsburgh/Green Bay Superbowl will be epic. I want to show Roethlisberger what it feels like to get raped! Figuratively speaking of course.

fwiw,

very few things at this point would make me happier than the steelers being up 24 at halftime and then losing

I had a dream about 5-6 years ago of the Packers playing the Steelers and prevailing in a super bowl. I had the same dream about 2 weeks ago.

It looks like it is materializing

I'd rather face Pitt but the thought of not having to listen to fat ass Ryan for 2 weeks is appealing.

That's clearly what he meant. :) Cut him some slack after a narrow victory and several drinks!
