I don't know what it is about the Nuggets, can someone explain to me why Melo wants out, and suddenly JR and Nene start playing like we have all been waiting for over the last few years.

There are times both of them look like the best player on the court, regardless of who is out there with them.

stick with something long enough

1) JR I believe has seen the value of not being one-dimensional, and we have always known he is talented in many areas - the year where he was competing with Kleiza for minutes he was in a 3 pt shooting contest. Now he is in a play the complete game of basketball contest and blowing his competition out of the water.

2) Nene has always had the ability to overpower his matchups....just never tried it. Now he's doing it.

It's not rocket science. Just......doing it.

I like JR and I have defended him on some Nuggets boards over the years, but how much of this complete game stuff that we are seeing has to do with it being a contract year for him? It is a valid question.

Of course both JR and Nene could both be playing like this due to their contract situations. however Jr and Nene both started playing closer to this way a couple of years ago, and JR has just finally stopped with all the offcourt bull.

It will be interesting to watch how they do next year though, after they sign new contracts.
