Blair has his moments but he still is very raw. The guy does not make good decision on the offensive end most times. I cringe when he gets the ball because i know he is going to force up a shot. He is best playing pick and roll with manu or parker.

When he get's going and starts demanding the ball in post he's hard to stop. But the problem is he isn't always as assertive and aggressive as he should be.

Right now, I don't think I'd want to see Blair demanding the ball in the post and start scoring. His offensive game isn't polished enough for him to be doing that. If anyone should start demanding the ball in the post, it's Richard Jefferson. I recall he has a post game in the past that I rarely see get used with us. And in the perimeter, I always see the bigs set screens for Hill/Manu/Parker/Neal when they have the ball but I never see Richard Jefferson gets a screen. I definitely recall him doing that in his NJ days. I get that he's more of a finisher, but unless he's setting the screen and become the roll man, he's just gonna be a spot up shooter in the corner.

I started wondering today why we're all satisfied with RJ. I'm thinking it's simply because we're winning and he's hitting his 3 point shots. But is that really what RJ is? A 3 point shooter with decent defense? Really? For so long, I remember RJ as a slasher, a finisher, and most importantly, he can get to the line. I remember him having a solid midrange jumper and a post game. That's all gone now.

If this is a losing season and we're just looking at the stats, who would you blame? I'm guessing you'll have to blame RJ cause when we got RJ, we weren't hoping for a corner 3 point shooter with good athleticism and average defense. He's also inconsistent lately but who's complaining if we're winning?

RJ has had less impact as the season has gone on, to the point that his numbers this month are pretty close to what he did last season, which was underwhelming to say the least. Winning cures a lot of things, so while we're 37-7 nothing will be said. But the difference between November RJ and January RJ is big.

RJ is always in the corner, waiting for the open J. That's his game. He still has moments where he slashes to the basket, and it's nice when he does it but it's few and far between unfortunately. And he's a strong rebounder for his position but he rarely makes the effort to crash the boards.

I like what Blair has given us, esp off such a slow start to the season. He demands the ball and he's really good inside. He makes nice cuts and guys are finding him rolling to the hoop. And he's finishing. Plus he's a great rebounder, esp on the offensive end. I'm really happy with him.
