A couple of years ago, when Beno was thought of as one of the worst contracts in the league, several were praying that he could get on a hot streak so he could be traded.

Now would seem to be that time.

Beno is not the longterm solution as far as a backcourt mate for Evans, so trading him while he's hot isn't a bad idea.

I don't know exactly what his value is at this point, but Sacramento should be able to get a decent return for him in a deal, he's definitely not the anchor/dealbreaker he was thought to be a couple of years ago as far as what he should be able to garner now.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him traded with one of the expiring bigs (Dalembert, or more likely Landry) but he might be traded on his own.

I'd love to see Sacramento target a long term backcourt mate to pair with Evans, but anyone that has a shot to join Evans & Cousins as the third member of the young core would be a welcome addition, or at least worth consideration.

If you guys want Curry, the price would be.. after you finish in the top 3 of the lotto.. On draft day.. Curry and Williams for your top 3 guaranteed pick and Cousins

Like I said, the price is way too high.. The Warriors have no reason to trade Curry to a rival just 90 miles up the road while making their team worse.. So the Kings would have to OVERPAY to acquire him.. That would be the deal.. no added filled is needed.

And THIS kind of statement is why everyone here alwyas makes fun of Warriors and Knicks fans.

The statements about Curry being a key but role player that facilitates the stars' game on a contender is completely accurate. Don't get me wrong, he is a nice player - on the W's with their constant offense/go style of play. but on a traditional team, he's no Rondo. He just doesn't have the physical size or strength to hold up to half-court, rock 'em sock 'em playoff ball as a #1 or #2 guy.

You still fail to see my point or the fact that I said the Kings would have to OVERPAY.. I never said it was a fair deal did I..

There are reasons why major players are traded between division teams in any sports.. your not going to see Matt Cain traded to the Dodgers or any other NL West team.. Your not going to see Larry Fitzgerald traded to the Rams..

Interdivisional trades with marquee names just dont happen unless some team is either completely rebuilding or someone is overpaying.. I think some ppl are just clueless to this concept

No, actually I see it very well.

But to ask for an overly ridiculous amount just takes away your credibility and thus you just get jumped about it. Overpaying by saying the #1 and say Casspi would be reasonable. You start talking crap like the #1 plus Cousins and it looks like you are just baiting the board and the mods should just throw you out.

Besides, there's always FA. Last I checked the W's are pretty locked up for a long while.

While that would be a reasonable deal at best its a lateral move for the Warriors if they could land Irving and even then Casspi plays a position that the Warriors arent in need of..

Hence if they are going to trade in interdivision, they are going to make the other team OVERPAY.. I never said that the Kings would or should do it.. Just saying thats the price of business of being in the Pacific.. If you were say in the East and had a young Center prospect, the obvious the deal would be less to pay.

You can say mods could throw me out, I am just letting you know whats real life business... If the Warriors were to trade Curry they are looking for a superstar in return(their own owner saying this) or seriously upgrading the front court.. Not one deal mentioned on here does that.. And I could guarantee being in the Pacific the Kings or even say the Suns would have to OVERPAY to get Curry.. Simple as that

Well, honestly, if any real GM countered with that offer I'd think it's a safe bet they'd be on just about every other teams blocked numbers list. There's overpaying and then there's just downright insulting.

It's perfectly fine thats his demand, what would you ask of the Warriors if they asked for Tyreke?

Return to Sacramento Kings
