Raps Fan Inquiring about Mayo

Post#1 » by Rapsfan07 » Sat Jan 22, 2011 4:49 am

Just wondering what you all think is a fair asking price for Mayo from the Raps. Taking a look at a few of your threads, it seems like y'all are more willing to move Randolph than Mayo but is your organization willing to do it? We Raps fans are about 50/50 on Mayo and since he's been playing like crap this season and is likely to come packaged with Thabeet, what do you think is okay? Barbosa + Weems + MIA pick? I dunno just throwing it out there.

Mayo likely won't be moved for the very example you provided. Teams are, reportedly, only offering pennies on the dollar for Mayo. No thanks. Grizz and Raps just don't match up well for a trade. In regards to Randolph, don't see him being moved either. He's an expiring 20/10 machine this year.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't see anything that the Raps have that would entice the Grizz to trade Mayo short of your first rounder this year. Your only intriguing prospect IMO is Derozan, and he would be stuck behind Rudy here.

As I told you before,

Raptors have only rubbish-like players for Memphis. It's not the matter on Mayo's counter parts, but on Raptors palyers' value itself.

For me, your team is just suck and disgusting.

That's all. Forget about getting Mayo. It's impossible. Period!!!

Ed Davis and Demar Derozen are both good young players. There's not much after that. Bargnani is inconsistent. Jose Calderon, Amir Johnson, Leandro Barbosa, Linus Kleiza, are all veterans that are average at best, and make a combined $26mil between them and none are expiring deals. Jarred Bayless has come up with some good games off the bench, as has Julian Wright lately yet they are also inconsistent.

And for the record, I watch probably over 60 Raptors games a season.

As a raps fan thats pretty accurate imo. Ed and Demar are the only real bright spots on the roster.
