I've been mostly diplomatic in the lead-up of this game, but I will say this regarding the Peppers hit:
Revenge is a dish best served cold. You guys ragged us on our board and over here for that late interference call in the first meeting which if you polled an unbiased crowd would probably say even though Burnett wasn't trying to purposely block the path to the ball...was interference. We were wearing our homer glasses and Burnett probably just lost the ball in the air but still got in the WR's way.
Now flash forward to the NFC Championship game. I don't care what Peppers intent was, he put the crown of his helmet into Rodgers' earhole/cheek. I don't know how else you'd define that even though it was his intent. I'd actually like to go back and see the roughing the passer call the Bears benefited on in the first meeting on Zombo that was a Cutler interception because I believe it was on a very similar hit or it was one of those hand to the head penalties which is even bigger BS because most of the time the guy is trying to bat the ball down.
Anyways, off the top of my head, here is how I remember the calls:
-That pass interference on the pass to James Jones down the sideline was weak. Now, his hand was grabbed at the most critical time, but pretty weak. Didn't end up mattering in the end because Urlacher picked one off shortly after.
-The intentional grounding was BS. Hanie's intent was to "throw it away" but you can't ref those plays on intent. If you asked him, he could have easily said "I was trying to throw it to Hester but missed." Receivers were close enough by.
-The Taylor hold I'm not sure. If I remember right, it looked pretty benign in slow-mo but I believe Bishop was outside of him and was taken down and to the ref it looked like his arm was around him.
EDIT: I found the Zombo one. Skip to the 4:25 mark of clip. Almost exactly the same. I don't like some of these, but as we've seen...that call comes down most of the time.
