It comes with the territory of being a pro athlete, essentially an entertainer. If the people who are buying your product don't like the product they have every right to complain. It's no different than a writer, musician, or actor reading bad reviews. I have no pity for anyone playing a game for millions complaining about negativity.

That said it is unproductive for him to read what is written about him, he needs to stop. What his coaches, GM, Taylor, and his teammates think about his play matters, nothing anyone else says does, and he really shouldn't be on the net looking for his name. No one's forcing him to read their opinions, he really needs to stop.

If players really read realgm, corey brewer's probably got me on his hit list ala steve buscemi in billy madison. Complete with the lipstick and rifle.

I hope he doesn't send his goat after me to torture me like they did with the calf in the movie "The Cowboy Way".

This is what we should do to Rubio if he decides he won't play here.

Never thought I'd see a "The Cowboy Way" reference on this board. Kudos.

I thought the same thing.

I was a big Flynn supporter last season. Now he makes me nervous every time he touches the ball. I don't think it's his hip. He looks uneasy out there.

Of course I hope he gets out of his funk, but I am in support of bringing Telfair in from time to time for sure.

You'd have to have a strong will to be able to read all the negative things said about yourself and not let it affect you. I don't know if Flynn is that guy. I'd just refrain from reading that stuff if I was him.

I'd have to agree that in the last couple games Flynn has shown a couple flashes of his pre-injury quickness which is a good sign. Obviously, a major part of his struggles can be attributed to not being 100% physically but I still think a huge part of his struggles have been mental. He wanted to come right back and dominate but he wasn't physically all there and obviously tried to do things he wasn't capable of doing, failed, and his confidence suffered for it. Now that he's at least close to 100% physically I think we'll start to see Flynn improve. I really want to keep him around for now, don't do anything with him until we have Rubio as an official member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Injury whatever ... there's no excuse that his inept performances should be on display in the NBA. Seriously, any college PG could not whip that boys tail right now ... this rehab should have been done in the developmental league - he knows, management knows it ... yet, the fans pay the bill to watch that crap. nice job Kahn.

Calinks wrote:He really needs to stop reading that stuff. People are a-holes. They are going to rip you apart just because they can. Unless he can channel that into fuel for his fire he needs to stay away. Too much negativity. Sports fans are the worst, if you aren't pleasing them you might as well be dead to them.

Anyway I too saw those flashes in the Clippers game and hope we can put it together this season. We definitely need a decent PG here and I don't know if Rubio is going to be that guy for a number of reasons. We have taken a lot o shots at PG, hopefully one of them pans.

This.

Sports fans are so, so fickle. We're pretty bad on this board for that too, one minute someone's a god the next they are ****. I'll hold my hands up and say I've probably been one of the culprits. I WOULD feel sorry for people like Flynn but when they are earning millions of dollar playing the sport they love then they should be able hack the criticism and shrug it off.

I knew the truth would come out. YOU are the real Jonny Flynn. Only the real one would have the actual record from Corey Brewer. Who knew he was such a great singer?

Easiest way to find out who here are wolves players are the guys who never post during game threads. Also if I was a player, I'd definitely sign up to this place and wouldn't say crap. I would find it very amusing, I'd probably start all kinds of crap.
