Usually we see our offense take a slight dip when the 2nd unit enters the game. This is where Pau Gasol needs to take control and have the offense run through him when he is out there with the 2nd unit. At the start of the season Pau did a phenomenal job doing just that and we were fine. I expect for us to get back to those ways as we get closer to the playoffs.

However I still wouldn't call offense an issue. Sure teams will beat us with a transition game but we can prevent the damage by winning on the defensive end in half court play.

The "age" thing is such BS, the celtics are super old yet the best defensive team in the league.

Defense , the closing out on 3 pts that phil always says is vital.Somtimes our offense is staggent and we take way to long to get off a decent shot. Transition defense.... It would also help if we got back on d.. And not let the running teams go on transition runs... like the heat. We played great against one the best teams in the league on fast pace offense new york. So its not like were to old yet. Although i want to see ebanks get some minutes. I think he brings fresh legs and is lengthy defender.

Our biggest problem is perimeter D though, and aside from Ray, their guards are still really young. Our youngest guard is Shannon and he sure as hell isn't a defensive minded player.

Dallas game notwithstanding, their defense has been solid for the last month or so.

Does ebanks deserve some PT? Cause id like to see how he would matchup in against the younger wing players in the league. I want see if he can be our next lo or somthing close to that. Even at ariza level. i would take.

So they have one guard who is young (Rondo) That's it. You tellin me one young guard is the difference between locking down defensively and letting Memphis blow us out by 25? Lakers shouold be able to defend these teams with ease with real effort. IMO its the effort not the age.
