did anyone see this? What is your take on it?

typical Iggy crap. He thinks he doesn't turn the ball over or anything. I mean if someone hit Iggy for everytime he did something stupid. He would be a walking bruise.

Not that big of a deal, although not something you want to see. But it does happen.

Hawes is the idiot.

I can see the Sixers renting him. A salary dump so to speak. We get into the 2nd round of the playoffs with him.

Nope. Link or source?

Ed Snider made one of his rare appearances tonight.

Nope.

Although, I would certainly entertain that...kind of.

Really, I just want answers instead of always speculating.

sometimes you have to take a risk. any interest in pursuing greg oden in the offseason. i would even entertain swapping iggy for him. he is worth the risk in my opinion and would thrive in the frontcourt with brand backing him up with blocks and rebounding on defense. we can let him come around slowly on offense with the young guns we have.

i would work hard for this. some may even consider it overpaying but i would package iggy and a first. i dont think portland gives him up tho. his upside is so high. and we are tied with contracts anyway til brand is up so why not go after him

Ignoring the idea that GSW would ever do it, would the Sixers ever entertain the idea of dumping Iguodala, Brand, and filler to the Warriors for Biedrins' 9 million dollar contract (3 more years) and four expirings ... basically a huge salary dump (over 20 million a year).

Can't dump Brand unless you don't want to make the playoffs. They can dump Iggy and still make the playoffs. The Sixers are light at PF/C Thad, Brand, Hawes, Speights, and Battie isn't really a strong front court. But Jrue, Meeks, Turner, Noc, Iggy, Lou are pretty good.

The playoff push has clearly lifted the Sixers’ outlook. According sources around the league, Philadelphia is not eager to make major roster changes now, and both Iguodala and Brand are all but certain to be with the team throughout this season.

hope the Sixers FO are just playing hard to get with Iggy trying to up the price for him.

Thanks for the intelligent response. I can respect your opinion and the Sixers' as well for trying their best to make the dance.

However, if it were me (I'm a fiscal conservative by the way), I'd jump at the opportunity to dump Brand and Iguodala to save money.

I'd turn Holiday, Turner, and Speights loose and improve through the draft or free agency.

But again thanks for the intelligent response.

According to ESPN Insider, Danny Granger is available. Larry Bird would consider a trade of Granger if he could get 2 starters for him.

Granger and Iguodala are roughly of equal value in my mind. Granger is better scoring, and Iguodala is better defensivley. The contracts both expire in 2014 if you concede that Iguodala will likely exercise his player option in 2013. Iguodala makes roughly $1.5 million more per year than Granger so they could be traded straight up for each other under the current CBA.

Would you give Igoudala and Meeks for Granger? And would Indiana consider that?

I'm an Iguodala supporter, but Granger might be a better fit with Holiday and Turner than Iguodala. Granger can shoot the 3 and spread the defense for Turner and Holiday. But is Granger really a step forward than Iguodala?

The real question is, is Meeks a starter on any other team but ours?

Pretend that I did the usual preface of it not happening and so on...

Would you deal Iguodala for Oden's right of first refusal and Batum from Portland?

We all heard the Batum / Pryzbilla rumor, and we all know just how much of a risk that Oden is, but...I keep thinking about Big Z from Cleveland and Grand Hill and even Sam Bowie who had 4 or 5 pretty good years after he left Portland and got healthy.

We need a young big who can focus on the paint and be a presence in there. Even an 80% Oden would do the job nicely.

That's an easy yes. Oden and Przybilla with no Batum might even be worth consideration for Iguodala. Of course Oden needs to be resigned after this season which makes it risky given his uncertainty. But with Batum it's a no-brainer.
