well atleast these group of girls we root for have one thing in common. They all hate the Lakers. I think we win this one and get out heads out of our asses

They have lost last 4 games, which 3 were pretty easy... now we have to play vs LA and SA in back to back nights... we were fighting for 2nd spot, maybe tomorrow we'll be at 7th spot.

On the upside, this is the kind of game the Jazz suprise us with a lot of times and win.

I actually did take a few break this year. I'll get back into the swing of things after the allstar break. To be honest after the 15 and 5 start they have been real boring to watch.

Let Ronnie Price play more too. He plays like a damn allstar vs the Lakers everytime. We should play "our leader"D-Will less tonight if he decides not to show up again.

Hate to say it, but Jazz lose by 15. I agree with playing Price more. You can tell he has a personal hatred for the Lakers that goes beyond the others.

I, too, think a win against the Lakers on the road would get our mojo going a bit. Hopefully our team will get up for this game and give a great performance regardless of the outcome. I wouldn't bet the house on it though....

The Lakers are beatable right now. By a team that cares to be on the court, that is. We don't fit the bill of late; I'm hoping we do tonight.

So is Sloan's plan to keep throwing different guys out there at SF and when we finally win one it will be because that guy started? The only thing I like about this is that the second unit should at least be more fun to watch for me as it is now composed of all unselfish guys (Okur/AK/Hayward/Price/Watson)

I'm not a Watson fan. I think he often plays for his numbers because he's in a contract year. He's bounced around the league a lot. He's having one of the lowest assist years in his career, even though he's playing a high number of minutes-- 23 per game. I don't think he tries to work Hayward into the offense much when they are on the floor together. I know a lot of fans just love his "energy". Energy doesn't win games. Assists do. If he's "pushing" the ball, where are the assists? His playing and contributions in the Pros looks similar to what he did at UCLA.

Price has played more minutes in the last three years than he did in the first three and his assists per game are near an all time low. Again he is an "energy" guy, but what is his real effectiveness. Price and Watson are both in contract years. Basically, they are inexpensive backups.

I don't think the numbers match well with the fan excitement with these two guys.

The point guards need to work everyone into the offense. When they do, the Jazz play better.

cuz anybody who has seen these guys play knows that hayward has loads more potential. a 15/5 night coming from deron would be mediocre. but a 15/5 night from price would be flat out amazing. same thing for hayward vs. cj. 4 points on 2/8 shooting is a disaster for one, but expected from another.

consistency can be developed.

Huh? Watson is playing 14.3 minutes per game, a career low.

Well, I took a break from the board because my anger would not have translated to what should be posted on these boards. I'm calmed, lowering my expectations, and just trying to enjoy some NBA basketball.

Unfortunately, seeing two 7 footers in their lineup already has my blood temperature rising. I hope the Jazz are just amped as hell for this game, and can at least keep it close.
