Under Capers system I don't think the position labels really mean that much. He moves guys around to try to take advantage of matchups and situations.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

DE: Jenkins
NT: Raji
DE: Pickett

OLB: Matthews
MLB: Bishop
OLB: Walden/Jones/Zombie

CB: Tramon
CB: Asomugha
CB: Shields
S: Collins
S: Woodson

If we could somehow draft another stud OLB, that would be the best defense ever. :D

I'm also in the Asomugha is a pipe dream camp. I think Ted should stick to undrafted rookie free agents to fill the corner spots. He's been much better at that than actually drafting corners.

I can't see TT changing anything up by spending big money this off season. I guess you never know. He never traded up to get a first round pick either until he did so for Clay.

He spent big money on Chuck. I understand that CB isn't the need it was then, but you would have a hard time convincing me that a front-loaded deal to someone like Scrabble would be a bad idea if he wants to come here. I wouldn't overpay to bring him on board, but I'd at least make him a competitive offer.

As this season has shown you can never have too much depth. Tra, Woody, Shields...none of them missed any time this year. But if they DID....

Shields missed a little bit of time, didn't he? Point taken though, we at least were fortunate that our top secondary players stayed pretty healthy.

Woodson is approaching Sunday’s game with a sense of urgency for numerous reasons. It’s true that he may have other opportunities, given the overall youth of the Packers. At 34, he would seem to have plenty of football left – like former Steelers, 49ers and Ravens Hall of Famer Rod Woodson (no relation) and many other accomplished corners, Charles will likely extend his career by switching to safety.

With fourth-year cornerback Tramon Williams(notes) blossoming into one of the league’s best cover men and ultra-fast rookie Sam Shields(notes) coming off a breakout performance in Chicago, Woodson can see the future: “I told our cornerbacks coach, Joe Whitt, that whenever I move to safety, however fast that happens will depend on Sam Shields and when he’s ready to be a full-time corner. That’s when I’ll make that move.”

It's good to see Chuck is on board with a move to safety. Definitely need to acquire a nickel corner just to be safe, whenever Woodson does make the switch.
