Chris Broussard mentions at about the 4:30 mark that Melo's people are starting to discuss if the Clippers would be a better landing spot for Carmelo than New York.

Kaman, Aminu, Bledsoe, and the Wolves pick would be about the best the Clips could and would offer. There's no way they move Gordon or Griffin.

NY would be a better offer. Bledsoe is no where near a good as Lawson who is the their future PG, they want to resign Nene so they have no need for Kaman, and Aminu is raw. If they offer Gordon, that would be different but that's not happening.

I honestly think Melo would strongly consider the Clips . Melo and Blake as a 1-2 punch with E Gordon. That team can be very good . Unless NYK is a done deal in his mind then I think he would have to strongly consider them. And LAC wants to build around Blake to make sure he is happy . I thought the clips may get involved

I do not think the idea of him going to the clips is laughable. However with the ownership and track record of that team, he would be a fool to even consider it. He would be playing 2nd fiddle to the Lakers no matter what he accomplished over there with Blake and Gordon.

If the Nets had Griffin and Gordon and some of the young players the clips got he would be a Net. At the end of the day he wants to win and teaming with Griffin is a a legit one two . Maybe I am over rating Griffin but he is a top tier PF already . Brook Lopez is soft as tissue paper and Melo knows it. But Blake is creating buzz around the league . And Gordon is also respected and better than any player on the Nets. You know Melo followed him in team USA this past summer.

I can see Denver being like...screw it....Noah can be our center for the next 10 years. Let's put him next to Nene, swallow Deng's contract and call it a day. Yet and still, that is extremely unlikely, so until the Bulls start considering that option, the Knicks don't have much to worry about. Donnie will keep playing it cool until the Nuggets are forced to accept our offer or stupidly keep him for the remainder of the season.

Melo wants to come home. Bottom line. It's home for his wife and home for him. He's not going to the Clippers, Bulls, etc... Besides, how are the Bulls going to win a Championship with Kurt Thomas as their center if Noah is traded and Melo is added anyway?
