Re: Official Trade Thread XV
Nate, one thing to keep in mind about having a "balanced" team, besides the fact that our balance sucks, is the type of prospects available in the upcoming draft.
If we don't like any SF, for example, we trade Blatche for Aminu, or George, whomever, and draft Sullinger. Sullinger's potential lack of defense would be made up for by a rangy, defensive SF in Aminu and by potentially allow McGee to go crazy challenging shots, while Sullinger cleans up the boards ad outlets.
That is just one scenario, and while it is my dream scenario, I'm sure there are other ones out there. But we must keep the draft in mind.

Another one...
Wizards trade: Blatche, Hinrich, and Thornton
Kings trade: Dalembert and Garcia

The Nuggets are being "polite" to the Knicks in their discussions regarding an Anthony trade, a league source told ESPN.com, but it seems Denver wants to see how it fares on a critical five-game Eastern road swing in which they will face nothing but bottom-feeders --the Wizards on Tuesday, followed by the Pistons, Cavaliers, Sixers and Nets. Pass.. Daly is redundent with McGee and Seraphin needs some more time. Garcia is a dime a dozen wing on a Mid-level type contract the next four years.

Yeah.. like I've said before, the perception of this team outside of this forum is vastly different.
Laughing stock would be an understatement at this point.

The Wiz are what their record is; right?

Wallace might be injured. His PER of 13.8 this season and his defense are well off what he has done in past seasons.
I would not do this because Blatche is 24, near-seven feet tall, and he is signed to a cheap deal for many years. I would instead get a coach who will bench Blatche and make a sixth man before trading older, smaller, and potentially injured for young, big, and cheaply signed.
Blatche is not the problem. He's like a spoiled kid right now. The parents give him too much--they made the monster. I would rather see him play less when he's off his game and playing selfishly. Too many minutes of "bad" Blatche is the problem. Limiting him to 20 minutes for a few games might motivate Andray to focus better on becoming more efficient.
Watching Blatche last night made my head hurt. He was a complete dog out there. I've tried to be patient but when Blatche comes out like he's hungover or just ate a 12-course meal moments before he steps on the court it causes me to lose my patience.
I'm getting to the point where I'd just want him away from the team. I'd trade him for an injured Wallace and shut Wallace down for a while. I wouldn't mind it because it helps serve our tanking purposes.

I don't think so, Blatche is reaching the level of Mike James in terms of effective tank players.

I can vouch for him, he was cranky before Arenas was traded.
PS: What's the record for consecutive road losses to start a season?

Just heard this today -- 29 straight losses by Dallas in 92/93. We're inching closer.

Re: Official Trade Thread XV
David West says he'll opt out and look for $10M per in the offseason. Would NOH take Blatche as a cheaper replacement?
