There went Cousins, after a terrible offensive foul call.

These are the worst refs ive seen all year. Not just for the kings, they are just awful on both sides.

Grant & Jerry discussing the Kings dance team calendar:
Grant: "Are you sure it has the days of the week on it?"
Jerry: "I...I don't know."

Tyreke Evans is a fkcin ball hog. I'm serious this guy thinks he's prime McGrady or something jacking up shot after shot!

We need the ball out his damn hands and someone to run a play for him OFF BALL. When the ball is in his hands he over damn dribbles to try get in the lane. New Flash moron ...time ticks away!

Too bad we couldn't get this one. No chance in hell we're winning the next 7 games. And looking further, the best we can hope for in this next 12 is 1-11. Seriously, we might not win for a month until we see Charlotte again on Feb. 25.

Evana does hold the ball alot but the rest of the team doea not move without the ball and Evans has to create for himself.

we shot 36% they shot 45%, we hit 1 3pt they hit 3... yet we only lost by 5.

it's something promising... but we need to battle through this type of adversity... actually both teams had to... the refs blew donkey dick tonight on both sides.

Cousins fouls out in 21 minutes?!!? I'm in LA, so I can't see these games, but from that score sheet, it just confirms how much he has to learn about the game...

Both of these points are true. Because Tyreke has been labeled the "star" of the team, they all stand back and wait for him to make a move. Problem is, the other team does too. And since his teammates aren't moving and getting open, there's nobody to pass to, and so Tyreke is FORCED to create a shot for himself for lack of any better options. Granted, there are occasions where Tyreke tends to try to do too much by himself as well.

This team's offense works best when everybody is moving and cutting and the ball is moved from side to side. When Tyreke gets the ball, they don't do this and the offense stalls. Its not entirely Tyreke's fault, although he is not entirely innocent either. Both Tyreke AND the rest of the team are equally to blame.

Yeah, the refs were in fact terrible, but we lost this game due to equally terrible outside shooting. Out of the games where we didn't have Cisco, this is the game where we really badly missed him. It's not just that we literally went 1-12 from 3, but eventually, we couldn't really spread the floor. They were just packing it in so much and we couldn't really do anything.

Of course this didn't help when we went with that stupid big lineup for extended stretches. That was just plain dumb. But still, having Cisco would have been a big help.

Also, I think the issue with Donte Greene this year really boils down to one thing: We need shooting from his role and he's not providing it. He really is a solid player in many other ways, but we don't need those as much. We need outside shooting and Donte isn't providing it. Until he does, I don't see a big place for him on this team, or really anywhere else in the league as a guy consistently getting minutes.

Same thing happens with Cousins, and I've already figured out why. THAT is the system. I don't understand why everyone hasn't realized that yet. Pure isolation and guard probing is the basis of our "system" in the half court. Westphal has basically even come out and said it.

Funny, I watched a little bit of the 1977 All star game with Paul Westphal in it, and I've figured out who Tyreke Evans reminds me of! Paul Westphal. Very similar. Westphal had Kareem down in the post too and decided to go all one man gang and drove in the paint instead and put up a short jumper! Seriously though, very similar with the drive and below the rim finishing.

And he probably won't on a consistent basis any time soon. It's the exact reason I thought he was a better mismatch combo F than a pure wing coming out of Syracuse. His percentages in college we're much like they are in the NBA. There was one play last night that showed the kind of player he is and one of the things he does well, creative driving and finishing at the basket. He did that little spin in the lane and got the ball up off the glass while drawing the foul. That was one of his go to moves at Syracuse. Being a spot shooter/floor spreader isn't his game. At the 4 it could be, but not at the 3 most likely.

Donte just needs to study Gerald Wallace's game, and go from there.
