Does Phil ever say "thank you"

Post#1 » by JollyJoker » Tue Jan 25, 2011 9:42 am

Has anyone heard Phil Jackson say "thank you" after an interview? I noticed he's never said it and seldom acknowledges the interviewer even when it's a good question.

I'm wondering if he finally says "thank you" when he meets the president at the white house or just smiles in a zen way.

I think Phil is usually in the zone when doing interviews. So he isn't really focused on each interviewer unless you're Vic "the brick". But he does seem to dig Hanna Storm. :P

Its like when I met Kobe... Well I didn't MEET him but we were in the same place trying evade a crowd. He didn't acknowledge all of us ( there was about 15 to 20 people there) one on one but we all shared a laugh and he said what's up and goodnight.

Phil only says thank you to the fans during championship trophy presentation and at the parade. That's all that matters...lol

phil, going back to the 80's has been very public about hating the post game, and especially the in game interviews, they are mandatory...he hates them... he is very much NOT a public person, so, ya, a thank you from him will not happen unless its sarcastic and sardonic...

Jeanie Buss said Phil is exhausted and will be looking for projects most likely other than basketball. So we wont have to worry why isn't he more friendly to the media.

I'd like to see him coach an Olympic Team Team USA or Puerto Rico.
