It seems like Kwame's had some success against the Kings in the past. Two shy of breaking his career record for rebounds in a game.

this game lasted roughly 30 minutes longer than the bobcats game vs atlanta on saturday. i was in my car by 9:12PM on saturday, meaning that game probably ended around 9:05. this game ended around 9:35. almost unwatchable thanks to kings style and officiating.

I think MJ officially lost his mind!

And we have a winner...

So, people raged over giving this guy a minimum contract and he's probably our second best player right now. Haters gonna hate.

Just a cameo appearance (Daily reader though)... I said this:
IAmKwame wrote:Dear Members - As my first post, I would like to say that I am honored to have joined the Bobcats' organization, and especially this forum. Thank you for the warm welcome!

Let's get down to business:

1. I am a big man - You need a big man that can play D.
2. I am unselfish - More shots for every else.
3. I am so cheap - You have nothing to lose.
4. I set some mean screens - Crash and Jax will love me!
5. I have something to prove - MJ is taking another shot at being ridiculed. Would I have come here for more abuse from LB? Other teams wanted me for the min.
6. Did I mention I can play D? Yes, I can man up on Howard all night, and use my six fouls.
7. I can also rebound, and box out - Basically do the little things, that are needed from a big man.

Also, I would like to offer Boris Diaw an olive branch! It was all in the heat of the moment. Pardon moi, Boris!

Let's see:

1. Check (and still do!!)
2. Check - although you do look for your own shot (which I am ok with because you make great position)
3. Check (like I said last night - best non rookie contract in the NBA?)
4. Check (best we have ever had at it)
5. Check (and you are playing that sort of fire)
6. Check (you fight hard on the block, have quick feet and will take a charge)
7. Check (like a mad man!!)

So far you are very much as advertised and have been a bright spot this season.

We love you KwaMan.

Thanks for beating the Kings. They still think they have talent. Always good to disabuse them of that notion.

I thought Kwamonsters comments after the game were very interesting. Said that Oak had been working with him alot in practice. Also said it is really the 1st time in his career someone has worked with him. WHAT?! This guy was the #1 pick and nobody has helped him with his game. I do remember when he 1st came into the league he was very arrogant and said he did not need to improve. Even said he could beat MJ. Glad he has his head together now and we are reaping the benefits!

He needs to work with Oak (for toughness) and also someone like Ewing (for skill) at the same time.

I can't fault the guy. It's not like Tyson Chandler or Eddy Curry received the early training they needed as well.

Indeed. Nice change-of-pace from offensive grandpa Nazr.

Five straight against them too. They could be good if Cousins could make it through an entire game.

Got to watch the entire second half. I'm really happy with what Kwame is bringing.

ewing is a horrid coach, I rather have hakeem work with him. Hakeem did more with dwight in one season then ewing did with him in his whole tenure in orlando, Also his son couldn't make it in the NBA despite him being very athletic, if he couldn't turn his own son into a servicable NBA player, how do u expect him to make anyone else better?

Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

The time Ewing has invested in Howard is now playing off?

Okafor spent 4 consecutive summers with Hakeem and never improved his foot work/offensive post skills at all. How do u expect him to make KwaMan better?

I'd rather pair young bigs with like styled vets to learn from - which is why I think Ewing would be better for KwaMan (and I also think that McHale would have been MUCH better for Hibbert over the summer than Walton)
