Oklahoma City Thunder @ Minnesota Timberwolves 01/26/2011

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Wed Jan 26, 2011 4:53 pm

Must win game, in my opinion. It's about time to take control of the division... if we're going to do it at all.

I'd like a blowout win here. After what happened Monday.

We usually come out really lackadaisical vs Minnesota. Hopefully the energy and focus they brought vs NO carries over to this game.

Should be an easy win. Put a body on Love and box out.

Darko could have won the last game for them if they had kept feeding him. I know they are going to be up for this game som hopefully we set the tone early and make sure we stay on them, sick of blowing decent leads.

Not real different from how we usually run offense.

More worried about the defense and the turnovers (Westbrook with 3 already).

We start creeping up the lead and they just close it back up in transition. KD's shot isn't falling at the moment so lets get ready to see Westbrook continue to push.

He's been great on offense but him and most of the rest of the team has been bad defensively. Minnesota getting the ball to the rim way too much.

The good thing is we are getting to the basket as well.

I wonder if Love gets a ton of women just out of relationships because the dude is always there for the rebound.

Anyways, with the offense now looking as poor as the d we have to rely on the Wolves folding.

It's tough to watch this team. I don't know if it's the coaching or what, but they play with no structure on either end so much of the time. Minnesota is a poor defensive team. Jeff Green, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Nenad Krstic... these guys shouldn't be living off long range jump shots.

And defensively, it's impossible to rationalize how poor the team is playing. I think they might still get back in this and win it in the fourth, but it's a disturbing trend of the team just wilting to other team's styles and not dictating their pace on either end of the court.

Precisely why hca wouldn't even give us enough of an edge to win a series if they continue to operate like this.

Am I out of my mind to think that McGrady would have been a good pickup for this team? Obviously he would have been willing to sign here and could have contributed to this team like he has lately for the pistons.

that shot sums up the thunder: win on crazy talent despite being incredible lack of cohesion

As the Minnesota announcers are saying "Kevin Durant is cold-blooded"

Nah, I don't see it. Too much of a distraction, IMO, for too little benefit.

His defense the previous play was worse... helped for no reason off Love who hits the open three. Collison is a great defensive play but him and Ibaka are horrendous on the perimeter.
